I so agree with you on this fantastic and perfect brew. I remember the Smuttynose robust porter as sweeter, fruiter (figgy) and softer all around.

yep, my favorite beer. They have $7 pints of it at The Immigrant in the east village. I'll buy you a roudnrthere next time you're in town.

Imperial stout light lol. That's called a stout. But I'd agree this pushes the boundaries between stout and porter.

Same on Narwhal. It has that licorice and dark molasses note, as well as the subtle metallic note I hate in stouts.

Good Porter. As an aside, I was sooooo disappointed when Founder’s stopped brewing their imperial stout and Curmudgeon Old Ale.
