Oh and I put two different perspectives in this vid on the guard strategies to war, one being that they use mass human waves with little regard for their troops, and another being that they use coordinated, or complex strategies with a great deal of care. Depending on the regiment you'll find examples of each, so regardless of how you play on the table top, or of how your own guard regiment has been written, I hope that you get something to draw from with this video!

@@Scholarslore Yeah. There’s a guy using the more Attenborough-esque voice, the channel is called Imperial Iterator iirc. He is putting a lot os videos, long format mostly, almost daily. I didn’t recognize the texts per-se, but at the rate the vids come out, it probably is AI generated or assisted, combining multiple sources. The texts are coherent, but weird and not particularly good, but the sound editing and voice quality are clearly inferior to our Scholar’s work. I thought even it could be a “second” channel, of “b-tracks” from Scholar’s Lore, with scripts and voice overs that didn’t quite make it to the main channel, but I guess this isnt the case Anyhow, the Attenborough voice you were using was reaching perfection. I really liked the results, it was so cool. Nevertheless, this new one is pretty awesome too!

I'm surprised even the emperor didn't think that centralizing his military forces under a single chain of command is far more effective than his warlord system which greatly disenfranchised military ranks in between outfits. The Emperium is operating much more like a mafia than a government.

That's because each planet is like it's own fiefdom in a feudal society rather then a unified whole, would be difficult to handle centralized command in a galaxy wide empire without the exterior being virtually impossible to reinforce

@@shadowwarrior1003 Space Marines and Astra Militarum are the Emperial Armed Forces. They are fielded wherever the empire needs them to be; hence, they are not jurisdiction-bound. Yes, they have their own planets, but they serve as headquarters, not to be confused with just a fiefdom. PDFs are there for a reason. And given that it is a fiefdom system, "warlords," then hasn't the Emperor learned from the past from his immortal life that the system he was adapting was deemed obsolete and ineffective for long-term government stability?

He was basically speedrunning the conquest of the Galaxy and Webway Project, after he achieved those two goals he pretty much would bail out to his secret lab on Terra and work on the human ascension project, everything else wasnt his problem as far as he saw it. Remember - he never planned on ruling Imperium past those marks.
