I think one of their secrets is, that they don't give a damn on what the people think. Love it or hate it. They came from East Germany's punk scene and punks and nazis are like fire and water. But short hair, rolling rrrs and songs like "Links, zwo, drei, vier“ kicked them always in the right corner again. Even when they sing : My heart beats left in the left side of my chest. 😂

They dont give a damn on what non fans think but they care a lot about giving their fans the best experience possible. Their recent stadium tour has probably the highest production value out of any artist currently touring, every fan praises the high quality sound and obviously the pyro spectacle. Its also their music videos, ive never seen ads in their music videos, ive never seen a "lazy" music video, each one of them has a lot of thought and love into them and very much enhances the song itself. When you look at a music video like Zeit or Deutschland, they didnt have to go that hard on the music videos but they did. They cancelled multiple music videos because they didnt think they were good enough for their high standards. The music video for "Mein Herz brennt" is an interesting one because it was close to being cancelled as well, the behind the scenes is very fascinating because it shows their struggles to end up with a good music video that they liked. I can see that Rammstein can seem "disturbing" and sort of a "shock" to people usually not listening to it but it also needs to be said that Rammstein has several songs that can be fully enjoyed by non traditional listeners. I already mentioned "Zeit" was one of the examples. Generally the more recent songs are a bit less hard musically but provide more political/social commentary on our current society.

When a band has been on stage for a couple of hours playing and singing, you try and sound fresh, I have seen them loads of times since 98 and they keep getting better, no auto tune there, that’s why we love them, love the rolling Rssssss .

"Sonne" was originally written as an entrance song for boxer Vitali Klitschko. Count to nine... and then out - like in the fighting ring. 🥊But the boxer's management found it too heavy. Experiencing Sonne live is very impressive - especially during the stadium tour - simply unforgettable!

0:48 Freya,Rammstein are uncompromisingly 'harsh and aggressive',sing almost entirely in German,and are very deep thinkers and chroniclers of the human condition. They are hugely popular and when you see a French crowd take over the vocals,(singing in German) then you realize how powerful and influential they truly are. Their film clips are truly cinema pieces and can be extremely confronting,but they are designed to be. A masterpiece like 'Deutschland' is a classic case in point. I would also suggest you watch the cinematic version of 'Mein Herz Brennt' with just Till singing and a simple piano background. The brilliance of the conception and execution of these pieces are simply next level. Thank you for going out of your comfort zone to share this with us;very well done !! ❤

Till's rolled "R" is in tribute or the singing style of Ernst Busch from the 1920's not the 1930's as the press repeated tirelessly. Anybody who takes the time to sit down and read the lyrics will never assume they ever had anything to do with that other idiot or horrific era. He took 2 years of singing lessons with an trained opera singer an teacher. "Radio" is a fantastic song with great lyrics that also reflex the band's view what is was like to grow up in East Germany..

The rolled R is part of Rammsteins provocation. It would be ignorant for them or you to assume that it has nothing to do with Hitler but there are a few questions that you should raise. Why did Hitler roll Rs? People often assume he invented that but he didnt. As you said yourself, it was a popular thing to do in theater at the time which was pleasing to the ear. Hitler took that to enhance the effectiveness of his speeches. He didnt invent it, he used it because it was popular and deemed as something great by the masses. Same goes for the swastika symbol, he didnt invent it. He took an asian peace symbol as heavy inspiration and "slightly modified" it. The thing about Rammstein is that their provocation and what they actually are about, are two different things. That makes it easy for fans to tell who did their research and who did not. While Rammstein has the presentation that might remind some people of Nazi Germany and Hitler, they are politically a very left leaning band. They do what art is supposed to do, art is supposed to provoke, is supposed to make people think.

This recording destroys perfectly all rumors that Rammstein would use playback on their shows which some people who don't know spreaded on the internet. Here you can clearly hear the little mistakes which happens sometimes. But it makes the band even greater. Also Till sounds a little exhausted. But no big deal. Edit: watch the official music video. You never saw snowwhite like that. ;) Edit 2: and yes it was originally written for the boxer Klitschko as entrance theme therfore the counting to 10.

Sometimes you don't need a message in a song. Sometimes it's about the music. I have listened to Rammstein for more than 25 years and for the first 20 years, I had no idea what the lyrics meant. Because it was about the music. Some people need to stop trying to "figure out" these songs and just listen.

Till actually designs build a lot of the pyrotechnics, part of the sweat and blood looking stuff is there to protect them from all the pyrotechnics :) Till has some nice scars from it going wrong once.
