Hey Karyna :-) Wonderful video! That Birmingham super sheener is awesome... I'm a big fan of their Emerald Fusion, too, for times when that much sheen works for me. I mentioned on my site and video that Diablo Lake is just an experimental ink... not something that will be available in the long run unless I reformulate it because it's TOO wet (although my inks do tend to be on the wet side) and doesn't shade enough, as it is. I like the color, though. If you happen to see a picture of the real Diablo Lake here in WA, it's probably even greener than my ink. I hope you stick with the multiple paper swatches... they make such a huge difference with some inks!

Thank you so much for the comment!!! 🥰 I love the colour of Diablo Lake and will be trying it out in a dryer nib. I do love swatching on the multiple papers but the prep work to get all those little papers takes ages. I need to find a better, less time consuming, system. But I do love the end result!

Yeah I find interstellar bronze to be good mostly for mixing with other inks. On its own the sheen is too strong and tends to smudge (the smudging is my main gripe, personally). But it’s potent enough that you can mix a little bit of it into a non sheening ink to give it a bit of an ~edge haha

That is such a great tip, thank you! I have a sample of BPC Jupiter Vortex and it also pretty much never dries but it’s so stunning I held onto it anyway. I never thought to add a bit of it to another ink!

Maybe I have a one-off bottle - always possible with BPC inks - but mine dries quickly. I love the sheening. It's almost always in my Benu Brown Orchid.

The load out was a lot heavier on the Rodia since that was the first paper the ink went down on after the dip, so you're not getting a lot of variation on it, and why the Rodia swatches took the longest to dry. Also, as far as I'm aware, The Wet Pen is not a company, but one guy who puts out small batches of self-mixed ink.
@KarynaLovesToPlan3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah I do think Rhodia being the first one gets all the ink. I will need to work out the ink distribution better.

Pretty sure the pen is a Pelikan Twist P20. I have one in a different colorway and love it. If I remember the information correctly it is new old stock from the 80s and it can take a cartridge or converter. I bought it on a whim just because I thought it was cute. It writes pretty darn good for the price and I use it pretty regularly.

They are fantastic inks! It is a small company so maybe it’s something they will look into one day. They do not even ship to Canada unfortunately.

Hey Karyna! The Diablo Lake and Robin’s Egg are both very nice. Blue being my favorite color that makes sense. The Interstellar Bronze will trigger a migraine for sure. It was hard to look at in the video. I can imagine cleaning that out would not be fun unless you clean it out quickly and don’t let it dry in the pen. We should all be mindful of that anyway. But I’m guilty of putting it off like many of us. Some really nice inks for sure. A very kind friend to send you a fountain pen care package like that. Have a wonderful evening.
