Adult night sessions at my local rink are always PACKED (which is a good thing) but it would be neat to have a night with a few less skaters like this :p If you ever come to Portland, you gotta come to Oaks Park and do a rink review!

Holy crap! I spent many, many, many, hours at this rink as teenager. I tell my kids about the all-night skates when we were essentially locked inside and people were sleeping on the ground everywhere. So many good memories!

That’s definitely part of the Cali style of skating. Those wheels are fiberglass wheels or “fibers”. They are super small and super hard for maneuverability and sliding.

I'll bet money it's because he's got a prosthetic leg and is more stable on a blade with a long wheel base.
