This is giving me serious Legend of Korra vibes. Yuka Kitamura has done a wonderful job composing sorrowful and spacious harmonies for this string section. Creating a unique take on traditional eastern instruments.

No kidding. The very beginning made it sound like it came out of the Legend of Korra. It has a similar vibe to one of the soundtracks played during Korra’s first seasons. Sekiro’s composer deserves a gold metal for composing this masterpiece.

i assume legend of korra is avatar (which i havent watched the korra one, only the last airbender), in which i have to agree with you. something with composers from media fthat have slight to heavy japanese influence (japanese game, devs, or producers) man. people like joe hisashi and yuka kitamura just have this oddly ethnic, drowsy vibe that makes you just want you to stay where you are and just listen forever. theyre not even my fav composers but this song, the spirited away ost, avatar tracks just make you want to get lost in the scene. they all have that quality
