Four 150W High Pressure Sodium Fixtures Cycling.

I found this lamps on a wall over a mini-market and I found them really interesting because of it's quick cycling turning ON and OFF really fast.
There is no doubt that they had reach end-of-life a long, long time ago.
According to a little wattage sticker they have, ‘15’, they are 150W High Pressure Sodium Lamps.

Hope they replace the bulbs! I imagine how bright it would be with all of the bulbs replace. I hope they replace them cause the ignitors will soon die

They will but unfortunately I dont think they replace them with another HPS. They maybe replace with a chinese fluorescent or LED instead.

Well no, I dont yet :S To be honest, thats not one of my priorities right now: Im using my money to buy a ballast for my new LPS lamp (I will upload the video shortly [wait for it!]) and then I want to get a small 100W MV and the ballast for it that I founded the other day in the store where I got my 1000W MH.

HPS that fires up green and doesn"t warm up to sodium colour and shuts off soon after is a sign. If everything goes well (no arctube failure), the lamp should remain in green glow state longer and longer and finally stay like that without turning off. Green HPS that doesn"t restrike is a very rare EOL mode

I suppose that it starts to not shutting off because it never surpass ballast supply voltage, am I right?

They glow when they turn off and when they turn on, the bulbs cast an unusually blue light.

Yeah! That´s probably caused by the low vaporization of the sodium because it not gets that hot in the short period that is ON but the mercury and the argon do gets vaporized...

Are very old bulbs, probably they were start to cycling many years ago and don't was replaced

@@thelightingenthusiast Don't know.. I'm going to Barcelona for a year and I don't expect to make trips to the interior of the country before Barcelona... Even if I did, I don't remember the exact location they were on, but I can tell you that Campeche's city center has been getting a full makeover since 2014, so perhaps they are no longer there, or they got replaced by LED :(
