Great video with helpful knowledge. Maybe next video about tips for an assessment on A320 and raw data flying? Thank you for your great job

Many thanks for the videos Captain. I find them very interesting. There's been a lack of this technical info and what really is going on for those of us who find this interesting. i did see a video on youtube of a real life pilot describing "Coffin Corner" and found this really interesting. Maybe a suggestion for yourself one day. Anyway, thanks once again for your help.

Love your vids man! Keep em coming🤗 Been flying sim for many years and seen a lot of tutorials about the different aspects of the flight. Yours are moore spesific, and technical. I do believe many of us simmers are craving more technical and in depth information like you are providing. Thanks👌😊

Thank you! I have a GTX 3080 and a Ryzen 9 5900X processor. Not mind-blowing stuff but it runs MSFS pretty well. I am just a bit worried about MSFS2024

Nice video, is there any way to simulate an ILS U/S NOTAM with the A320?, or just to use another approach type?
@fsclipsАй бұрын
@@juansebastianhenaomoreno6278 as far as I am aware you just have to choose a different approach. I have never seen a SIM setting that allows us to switch off an ILS

At what speed have you calculated that you need the amount of metres you need to descend divided by miles is 100 if you're above FL 100 (when not at 250 knots)
@karhukiviАй бұрын
Not sure what question you are asking exactly, but in case he doesn't reply, here is an example - at 25,000 feet (FL250) he estimated 75 nm range by multiplying 25 by 3. However, as the small instrument measured altitude in metres (7620m), he just used 76 nm as the range. A distance of 75 nm = 460,000 feet approx. and at 200 knots one travels 20,000 feet approx, so 23 minutes to do 75 miles. Descending 25,000 feet in 23 minutes is a rate of 1100 fpm. But the airport he selected is 100 miles away, so plenty of time to slow down, descend, set up an approach etc. They are "rules of thumb" all the conversion factors are rounded off to allow a quick decision, as he says.
@Aeroguru1Ай бұрын
@@karhukivi Oh so he calculated at 200 knots approx? Ok thx
@karhukiviАй бұрын
@@Aeroguru1 The indicated airspeed of 250kts at FL250 is really a true airspeed of about 420 kts (depending on outside air temp), so if they don't slow down they would have to descend rapidly which would be very uncomfortable for the passengers. Below 10,000 feet they would want to be doing about 200-230 kts anyway.

Yes thank you understood
@fsclipsАй бұрын
Hey. Yes, I should have mentioned that in the video...sorry. When we calculate if we are too high or too low we assume a 3 degree descend. If you want to know what your V/S needs to be to get 3 degrees, simply multiply your Groundspeed by 5. Hope this helps.
