I homeschooled once before and thst was last school year and we did it 4 times a week (Monday off since my husband had Sunday/Monday off at the time so we had family time) and had two months off in the summer. We started the end of July and finished mid May. It went smoothly for us and my kids liked not having school 5 days a week. To be honest, I did that way more for my sanity. Homeschooling isn’t for everyone, it has its pros and cons. But it’s not to say I won’t do it again in the future. I probably will. We did Abel’s parent led videos bc I am not a teacher. I know most people aren’t but it worked well for us.hats off to you homeschooling 7 😊. Will subscribe to your channel for future reference.

Thank you for this. Janelle? I have a question. Do you have videos or resources as to how to homeschool highschool with a child that wants to go to a university? I have a 9th grader now and I have always homeschooled her but this year I put her in a Christian school online. Not loving it. Wondering how I can do it myself for the next 3 years. I’m so lost. I never went to college. By the grace of God I homeschool my teen daughter from day one and she’s so bright! But this new stage intimidates me a lot. I live in California for reference.🙏🏼

I love homeschooling through the high school years! Kids work independently on most things. There is time to chat with them about all kinds of questions. And record keeping is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Two resources that should be helpful. I want to do this but I'm certain that with one in high school there isn't a way to do this without already making his load heavy. I would have no idea how to do that.

I had to choose curriculum for my high school kids that would work well in a 4 day week or could be adapted easily. That meant saying "no" to some curriculum we have used in the past. It was worth it for us this past year because the 4 day week helped meet our homeschool goals.
