These investors work together every day on a TV show that sells drama. They know each one has their own specialty market. I'm 100% convinced that when the two are asking Sarah to drop to 10%, Deborah and Peter both made a show of being upset and dropping out to remove the leverage and let her keep the 12.5%. They'll get the same deal returned when an entrepreneur under their own specialty comes through. Neither one of them is actually "offended," it's just acting.

The dragos must have some sort of agreement where when the entrepreneur shows clear interest in a specific dragon or in this case talk to 1 of the 4 first the rest get all fussy and either drop out or say something about feeling alienated so that the dragon who is being talked to by the entrepreneurs can get the better deal by the others dropping out. If the others stayed in sarah does 10 but because they all decided nope im alienated the entrepreneurs just lost 66% of their dragons in 2 seconds and are pressured to just accept the 12.5.

They were either genuinely offended (both of them have displayed high levels of arrogance in many other episodes - Peter imparticular), they changed their mind or they could see they were going to lose so wanted to save face. I have no idea how so many people who presumably watch the show regularly could believe they would be that selfless towards another dragon!

It just wrecks their egos when you even consider offers from other dragons. He framed his argument so well. 'Hard for us to accept when there's an offer at 10%'. If anything, it was a little cheeky of them to be bargaining w Sarah given her credentials.
