Today, Pastor Walker concludes the series “The Four Fear Nots of Christmas” with the message “Fear Not, Shepherds.” The Angel coming to the shepherds is a reminder that Christmas is the story of hope. What kind of hope do you have this Christmas season? Look to Jesus! He came into this world to give YOU true hope - Spiritual hope!

The significance of that field and shepherds is huge! History tells us that the shepherds in that area, at that time, were raising the sheep used in temple sacrifices. It’s no coincidence that the Angels came to those shepherds to announce that the Saviour was being born on that very day. They lived in a time of almost no hope. They lived outside of a prophecy that seemed like it would never come true. So, when they heard the Angel, they immediately understood the significance of the announcement!
Remember: Hope gets us through the loss of someone we love, through times of stress and disappointment, through the betrayals in life and it heals our hearts and dries our tears. That hope is only found in the person of Jesus Christ
