SUGGESTION! Garlic, ginger pucks alternative!! Put garlic/ ginger, etc, in a gallon Ziploc bag, flatten it out, then take a chopstick or skewer and press it down onto the bag in a cross hatch pattern and freeze it. When frozen, bend the bag at the "perforations," and you have little flat squares already in a Ziploc baggie. It skips the portioning out, freezing, then bagging steps. It thaws much quicker also. 😊

I absolutely wash my rice, I remember when young (along time ago!) If rice was kept to long in pantry it would end up with bugs (rice weevils) even when packaged air tight. Now you can leave rice in pantry for years and no bugs. Makes me wonder what they are adding. I don't trust, not even organic, so yes I wash well, also canned beans which I rarely use but if need in an emergency meal and don't have any home canned....

His brother always came into the kitchen with me when he was alive, so Kirby would come in with him. I think he came in because of competition, but since his brother's been gone, he stopped coming. Now he listens for me to say, "Ackkkk!" or "Oh, nooo!" or something that indicates it's likely I've dropped food onto the floor. Then he races in, skids around the corner and announces he's there to clean up! 😂😂 Even though it does make it easier not having to dodge a dog or two, I miss it a little bit.

I'm always puzzled by viewers who complain, especially when they can solve so many of their complaints themselves in seconds! "You move/speak too quickly/slowly" Just adjust the speed of the video. "You're not loud enough/too loud" Just adjust your sound. "I don't want to hear chewing noises, etc" Just mute for a second and you won't hear a thing. "I don't like one of the recipes Becky's going to make in the middle of the video" I would actually suggest watching anyway since you can sub one protein for another (I hate salmon, but watch videos with salmon because I can probably make it with chicken or pork or another fish I like better) or you may be able to use a technique or a sauce from the recipe. If you insist on it not touching your eyeballs, don't skip the video, just skip the part you think you're not interested in by fast forwarding. You get the picture. Not everything has to be spoon-fed and you can control much of your experience.

When I need to caramelize ground beef, I press all of it into a gigantic thin "hamburger patty" .....basically to cover the bottom of the pan.... then when it's caramelized I flip the whole thing over and do it again ....that way I get a good sear on both sides ... then I use my little chopper thing and crumble it and season it..

I (54) have been vegan for 10 years and love that your mentions lately is inclusive without any sarcasm. I am not the only vegan here - you do have quite a following of vegans 😉 I have been subscribed since the beginning and I love your energy. Everything you cook can be veganised - without any effort (especially for longtime vegans). I think the one thing most people do not realise is that vegans do not hate the taste of meat and that we have eaten meat, eggs, dairy and honey for the most part of our lives - so we know exactly what's on the "other side" 😊 Vegan mayonnaise are so easy to make with aquafaba (same level of prep as the egg-mayo you've just made - even less prep I suppose - but the method is 💯 % the same). V-parmesan takes 2min to make etc. etc. That besides: thank you for always showing up - you are the one youtuber no one needs to 'guess' if there will be footage or not. I love the consistency. Also: your taking on sponsors is great - it shows that you are serious about growing your business. Whoever has a problem with that need to step in any business owner's shoes for a day. I am in Cape Town, South Africa and although our climates etc. differ immensely, your garden videos has come in handy more than once over the years. You are truly an inspiration. Oh my, this is getting to be an essay 😅 Another thing: I 👀 someone complain about the fact that no kiddies toys are laying around: well, good on you if that's the way you want to run your channel - not one person will be happy to be surrounded by their children's toys if at the office - your kitchen and other parts of your home you care to show is your office, so good for you! Again, thank you for always showing up.
@Lucinda_Jackson3 ай бұрын
I love your comments! I'm not vegan - more the opposite. I'm sort of "ketovore" (for about 20 years and long before it was a "thing") which really just means I'm mostly carnivore these days but will add some keto friendly veggies (I could never live without onions, garlic, and tomatoes or things like tomato or low carb pasta sauce). I think most of Becky's food can easily be translated into all sorts of diets. I know it would be super easy to make keto (except for some of the baking). As for mayo, I often make it using butter as the fat for a carnivore twist. It's fascinating how we all find what works for us so we can enjoy the same basic food! I'm with you on the decisions Becky and Josh have made about including their child in her videos in any way. And your point about this being a business and the kitchen and garden being the office is a good one. I also agree about sponsorships. If you enjoy a creator and feel a certain bond form with them, then I'd think you would be happy to see them succeed and do well. Her sponsorship spots are well integrated and don't intrude on the content overly much (though it wouldn't bother me). I know this helps them financially which means the channel will continue. And a brief mention of a related company or product is a small price to pay for the high quality audio and visual of great equipment and for excellent editing. And for knowing the channel is self-supporting so it will continue to be there for us.

@@manonvanleijen4605 I live in Canada and have never been to Europe. Unfortunately I’m getting older. Not sure if it will ever happen.

Becky and Josh, I almost choked on my watermelon I got from a local farmer when you asked him, "Does this replace a burger for you?" His face said it all. Those meals looked so good but that face Josh made was so funny!

I love dinner in a bowl, I usually end up mixing everything together anyways, when we have eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy I tear up my biscuits and mix everything together,lol, but one thing I want to say is I notice there are some complainers in the comments not many but enough to notice, and Becky is so kind and tries to please everyone and I think its the people complaining that need to change their ways not becky, not all people do things the same way and that's the beauty of the world, the internet can be a hateful place and I would just encourage kindness and compassion in the comments, but overall the comment section on Becky's channel are helpful and so sweet but I've just noticed a few not so nice ones, sorry for the rant but nobody is going to push around Becky on my watch!!!!!
