Wow. I am truly impressed with your performance using just the ESX. I've had mine for years and can barely wrap my head around what you're doing in that video, but just wow. Feel like I need to watch more videos to rediscover and tap into what all my ESX/EMX can do!

Wow, thank you so much. Genres are funny, because I've always made this style of music, right back to the late 90's, and my roots are really in industrial and reggae. All these years later, I'm still not entirely sure my music fits into a solid genre, and I'm still undecided about whether "dubstep" is even a good name for a genre. Lol! Thank you for watching. :)

I like the blend of personal life vlog and music. Makes you a personality and not just a tutorial voice or teacher. Id actually be interested in hearing more about your 'new to you' mercedes. I'm actually shopping for a good family car right now. Was looking to try the GLK350.

Nice! This isn't my first experience with Mercedes Benz. We drove an E300 when the family was much smaller, and it was a very strong vehicle with few problems. I'm going to get an all-points inspection soon, with oil change and lube, and I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for watching, once again!

@@petert7807 .. Dang, dude; I wrote a reply and it's not here! Lol.. I must have forgotten to send. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS! I love my Benz, and it's been reliable so far. I did have a squeaky ball-joint pop up. Pro tip: Always source your own parts. The repair place hates it when you show up with your own parts, but they won't turn down the job. The dealership wanted $275 for a pair of ball-joints, but I found them brand new with warranty on Ebay for under $35, shipped! Enjoy your new ride. :)

Hello.. Sorry for the late reply. It seems I had a lot of comments on this video which I missed in notifications. How are you getting along with your ESX? The answer to your question, which you probably already know, is YES, you can replace the factory samples very easily. To import a full set, or even individual samples, without audio, you will need a memory card and reader. Thank you for watching!

Yes, I am selling my ESX, but I think it's sold. In the video you're referring to, which is either the one I mentioned selling or the original, "Using Two Korg Esx's At Once With Random LiveSets .. A SnowMetal Experiment", the one on camera right is MIDI out to the input on camera left. :)

How are these hacks?
@danieklerr6 ай бұрын
Well, aside from the first one, which is more of an unknown/ignored feature, the others are unique ways of using the machine, which was not intended by the designers. I confirmed this in 2010 at a Guitar Center demo, when the Korg reps themselves informed me that I was a "legend" (their words, not mine) at the Korg R&D department, and that the ESX/EMX designers themselves never dreamed the unit could be used in these ways. Thank you for watching! :)

@@danieklerr Oh for sure... I remeber a decade ago when they were still affordable and all my friends would run the individual outs through pedals and rackmounts, switch out the valves, run audio into the external input... I feel like Korg lost track of the charm of these things with later models!
@danieklerr9 ай бұрын
Yes, Korg lost the vision, haha. Still, the Electribe/Sampler are great units and really affordable. I think Korg would have done better to launch them under a different name.
