With due respect, the usual method of teaching Quranic Arabic through extensive grammar is counter productive and boring. Apart from it being an unnatural method. Students should immerse themselves with vocabulary and the nuances of Quranic Arabic by studying M Asads Quran translation. Asad (Leopold Weiss) spent 17 years in the Arab world. Mastering Arabic by living with bedoin tribes after being at AL Azhar university Cairo for a few years and then learning Quran and Ahadith in Musjid Nabawi for several years. Watching Arabic documentaries on BBC Arabic and AL Jazeera Arabic is also very useful for students of classical Arabic.
