Melt's buff allows her to farm 3/1/1 Rider/Assassin/Caster nodes with a 50% battery CE, a single 50% charger of your own and mana loading, so I think that should be taken into account for the future rating

Well yeah, I think that's why they gave her the buff in the first place. It's about trying to keep her competitive with Bazett, and since Bazett could farm 90+s (albeit slowly), they had to come up with something similar. Looking at the list though, I do not think she is as good as Kiara or Douman (I would have Oberon in EX+ personally), but I think she's better than a lot of what's in A+. So I think in future tier lists either A+ should cut out a few servants or an A++ should be added for Bazett, Melt, and arguably Faker for how good she is for 90+ nodes.

@@Nolo-HLM Ideally the way you farm 90+s is using a mix of ST and AoE ,and we're primarily talking about that with Melt and Bazett. That said, you can technically farm 3 unit nodes with Bazett if you kill each target in 1 counter. It's just very time consuming and not ideal. But you can search on youtube to find some examples. You don't really loop 90+s in most events these days. Like take the Bazett Valentine's event which had a wave 1 with one 199k enemy: I farmed it using a mix of Habetrot and Rider Liz on my friend's account I was running for him, and on my account I used Bazett and Habetrot. So that's what I'm talking about how Melt can be in that same spot now.

Straight up battery might look lazy. But it at least better than an half assed buff. I prefer a safe boring buff than something random that doesn't really improve anything. Yes. I'm still salty about Maid Alter.

Maid alter, Summer Martha, both Li's, Sigurd, and ShikiAss all crying in a corner lol. Like it's straight up infuriating when upgrades also are just bumping up the 10% def down to 20% on nps. Like yeah the damage also gets upgraded but it's really just lazy/no attempt at making a good flavor buff. My 2 cents: Maid Alter: should have also received targetable quick star absorb to make that weird skill of "increase next 1 quick attack power" more useable. Summer Martha: also add base np effect "increase star gen and self crit damage against divine, demonic, and undead enemies by 50% for 1 turn, activates first" to fill in her niche. ShikiAss: give her np also a damage mod against humanoid enemies Sigurd: also added "if star absorb is on self, self star bomb. If star absorb is not on self, star absorb until next 3 crits for 3 turns" There's just a mess of other servants that deserved better

I think every buff was nice. BB has an attack buff now, and Passionlip needed a little more. King Protea is kinda insane now.

KP is a monster now. She was already one of the best extra class servants (imo), now she can literally double her NP damage. Why Myst had such a hard time moving her out of A is beyond me. She a fantastic servant.

The reason Kingprotea isn't rated the highest is because she's an alter ego/pretty mediocre damage usually despite her being the 3rd highest attack in the game it's more used to compensate for the 1.5x instead of the 1.8-2.2x bonus damage depending on class and her looping setup requires double Oberon, which is worse damage than double Vitch light generally speaking. Granted in challenging content she can be really good with her stacks and such growing over time, but as a farmer she isn't that exciting. I do really like this change because it can improve her damage potential by a lot depending on the CQ.

@@dstreetz91 For me, being an Alter Ego isn't a detriment to her but one of her big positives. She's got extra class damage to four different classes. Even if the modifiers aren't always the biggest, that's still really good. She's great to use for those quests where every calvary is used.

I'm really not sure how a 30% charge isn't a big enough buff. Why are supports so valuable? Because NP charging and getting NPs off faster when needed is essential. That goes for farming and challenge quests. It lands exactly where it needs to to unlock a greater amount of flexibility in how you can use Melt. The only thing left to do to make her more monstrous is an NP interlude. Lot of good buffs here. KP just got even more interesting and fun to use. A solid buff for Lip who definitely could use that. Even BB wasn't a bad one. Welfares don't often get a whole lot of love, but this is pretty substantial. Lot of love going to the Sakura face characters this time.

It is worth noting that Melt's buff can combo with Mana Loading for an in-built 50% starting charge to combo with a starting charge CE. While I think this does not make her much better at what she already did, I think it increases the _range_ of contexts for which she is applicable considerably, including farming, secondary dps (eg one aoe, one single, for mixed-number nodes), and improved np looping against bosses.

Rather than a 30% battery, I wished they did a 50-100% np charge drain similar to her summer variant. Melt is a main dps and her third skill makes it harder to have another dps on the team so it’ll have synergy with her already selfish play style, it’ll also make sense lorewise as well

Honestly it would bad on melt since there aren’t any batteries for quick that can even effect the party. Summer melt can get away with this because she’s arts and has easy access to party wide batteries but giving it to regular melt would be objectively worse since she has no one to drain from.

Melt is capable of get 50% np refund with her np therefore you’re able to use her np 4 times in a row with max supports. additionally I find it hard to believe your servants aren’t going to have at least 15% np charge after 5 turns, even then you act as waver isn’t in the game

Quick teams generate less gauge than arts overall and you’re basically relying on more supports and rng just for that kind of battery to work vs summer melt who can get all the gauge she needs because her card type makes so much gauge. This buff works so much better because you’d need less effort to get any kind of value especially since you would need waver to brute force the battery

@@amari7782 It’s honestly not, you’re making it out to be harder than it actually is. For it to be objectively worse you’ll have to be making less than 30% charge back and between getting hit from the enemies + using face cards that’ll most likely crit thanks to the stars melt generated I find it incredibly hard to believe you’re not going to have AT LEAST 15% charge within 5 turns let alone more than that. Also in the scenario where you can’t kill a boss within 3 turns, you’re definitely going to be bringing a third support in which Reines, waver, and castoria all have party wide np charge My apologies if I’m coming off harsh, that’s not my intention whatsoever

Ngl melts buff adds a lot more flexibility for cq’s the sad thing being ima be waiting two years for that I guess. Some of them require you go on for three turns (due to blue break bar) so in case you didn’t get the right cards you can still keep going and test your luck with the second turn.

So basically, if you use NPAA with BB, it's flat 30% charge to whole party (20 from np and 10 from skill) But if you use her NP and an art card from each support it'll be 40% charge to whole party (20 from np and 20 from art chain), while 2nd option sounds better, this new buff still sounds really helpful especially in cases you fail to get art cards in your deck, you can instead go for her brave and gain 30% to all party which is no joke especially if you're using Castoria + tamy, in my opinion I now see her as solid Dps against Berserkers too Not to mention that her stun and Def remove, cleance and crit potential helps her against bosses

King protea went from mid farmer to better farmer and good survival in CQ, to farming, survival and hard hitting in CQ, and the fact that you can lower the cooldown of her new skill with vitch essentially means you have a 6 turn 40% atk/np damage steroid that increases per turn. Pair that with a shorter cooldown on her first hp ramping skill and you got 2 skills that synergize in a 6 turn phase, and the first that she can just reaply after using the second skill. That's pretty nutty if you ask me.

Personally I think the BB upgrade is the best of this lot; I have her Grailed to 100 on my NA account and I routinely bring her out for CQ content. Like with Tamamo Classic the biggest challenge is always getting her NP engine going, and since I've commonly paired her with Tamamo in these setups, I consider the Arts buff huge because it helps her damage and NP gain, and since she's my DPS I want to brave chain with her anyway. Thus the Extra Attack NP charge is a fantastic extra effect. If it was the primary effect it would not be that great, but as a little extra to help both BB and her Supports get to that bext NP, it's great.

Can they actually buffs servants that desperately need the buff instead of buffing already powerful servants. Example, Iskandar has been rotting away forever and they can’t even manage to give him a good buff. Gilgamesh is also another servant with extremely weak skills.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like we have more buffs since Lasagna took over and more often also. Some buffs might be dissapointing, some might be insane, but we have to say Lasagna is putting in the work with these older servants. They can't make everyone crazy insane but atleast they are working hard to make everyone look less bad compared to newer servants, so I appreciate the many buffs they've been doing.

I mean to me, Melt is Goddess tier(Get it, since the Sakura faces have goddess cores for there servant cores). But I mean melt Is already Strong with her previous buff, and now with this new buff, even more OP. To me she is the best Sakura face out of the Sakura five and Sakura faces.

Melt buff is boring but insanely good. Being able to save a skadi s3 or use a 50% charge is so stonks. Personally, i'm quite happy with it. At some point in the future she'll get her np buff and all will be well. I'm still so happy I managed to pull her on the seraph rerun.

The melt buff is solid but it's honestly a sleeper buff and it happened just so they could buff all ccc sakurafaces. The other buffs are pretty good, the KP and lip buff mostly help for bosses and BB feels like a great support buff, that has the potential to give you 60 party battery at best in 2 turns to 90% in the perfect scenario and would need 3 turns(that is super tough to get unless you force summer BB memes), obviously it's not ideal unless you are up against an Avenger and by the 3rd turn they will be dead in that scenario but you know it's possible. Lip or BB definitely got the best buff, booba Valley can actually help you increase your survivability by a lot and the bonus dmg is a nice addition for when you are not under 50% hp. Now time for me to be salty and compare Gorgon's monstrous strength and KP's monstrous strength and the quality of the buffs.... Y u hurt me lik dis fgo

Glad I actually like the sakura 5 so it's not a problem for me to see them get upgrades. On base they all had issues Melt did not need that battery buff. Melt was already is now an all around broken unit having speed now if you miss the 100 charge on cq challenges. Overall her buffs are the best giving her tons of ways to do np card and crit damage on her kit. Bb disappointed. Should have been a np buff with the 3 arts up so it could spam. The funny part is the extra attack thing works better on bb summer who can card lock. Arts up is fine but she isn't as good as kintoki or Chloe still as they have overall good kits while bb lacks use aside the avenger boss Lip is fine. Her kit was terrible on release so the buffs help her do more damage and speed her up a bit. Doesn't need to be a farmer which is fine. Protea is funny so she can be even more of a playable boss character which is probably one of the best things fgo did next to melusine and space Ishtar having unique kits. Also bonus but bb summer should get a np buff to help her damage. Buster down before np damage would be amazing aside the np damage mod.

Not going to get into the debate but all I’ll say is comparing to Kintoki or Chloe seems kinda unfair given Lasangle has never repeated those levels of welfare afaik and are still considered by far the best, it ain’t a sole reason for why bb bad. Honestly for all the effects it’s provides on it’s short cooldown it’s a pretty decent skill. Crits already double np gain an on top having that arts buff will make bb being able to refund off of her arts cards piss easy. Her np combine with a npcard chain would give 30 batt to everyone, bb’s an np interlude away from becoming a god tier welfare. A buff is better than no buff.

Least melt got a battery cuz we can't have a shinny SSR be battery less in this day and age, last SSR with no battery was Dioscuri which is saying something. BB's buff is fine she still sucks tho. @@Chronicplane low damage is one of the reasons bb is bad bb summer meanwhile I have np 4 but that doesn't mean everyone else does and she needs more damage especially with things like space Ishtar skama and Morgan running around. Meanwhile avengers can be used just fine in st and aoe situations like jalter Bb looping a weak np many times instead of a np buff making Everything hit harder isn't what they should focus on. She already can loop just fine I did that many times with just one arts card each wave when I thought she was good. She's basically super niche so hopefully they do np buff one day. Last point is a bad point. A bad buff will always make a unit bad as fgo won't want to make double buffs all the time. See lartoria species for more.

@@ACertainMan that first point makes me scared of summer musashi. She already can loop without a battery so imagine her with a 50 charge. Scary. That's the point with bb. I love bb and want an excuse to use her more often as summer bb does everything without issue in loops damage and crits whenever I need her. This buff just gives her some damage but it would have been better on summer bb funny enough. Kp is More so for fun where you want to take a long time to play. Just set her up with double Merlin and have fun. Yeah lip can tank and this buff is fine but I wish they did more like give her a super high np gain when she gets hit as she is a sadistic maker. Charge for buster units is helpful but fgo really doesn't want to go over 30 charge on old units so new units look cooler by comparison Melt was already good after her first buff. The second and third one just keep making her stronger Also somehow this happened before na got the seraph banners. Sus

buffs that benefit their game feel imo. Id rank them as follows Melt: meme on it if you want but np battery is like the draw two cards of fgo. Its aways good as it frees up team comp and CE options. Even more important on melt then others because she wants to snowball out of control. Her first turn needs a star bomb and np to get the ball rolling and her first skill does this. Lip: lets her farm again first turn np charge is one if the best things you can get even if its as small as this. BB:its not bad and maybe better then lip if you can use the extra attacks multiple but issue being you might just want to arts chain instead. If it was on fun creative gimmicks it would be higher. Protea: its really strong damage but my issue is that skill 2 is now EVEN MORE punishing then before without fixing her biggest issue of being really slow to get going. Like if it just get +2-3 stacks of her buff then that would fix her issues of start up time on turn 1 and make skill 2 not a complete back to square one feeling. In theme of be the raid boss? Yes. Is it fun? Hell yes. Does it really help? Not sure man i just cant shake how much skill 2 is going to hurt using now.

It may be generic, but it's still fantastic. Ever since mana loading entered the game 30% batteries became increasingly valuable. NP buff before NP damage would be nice. But they've hardly been lazy for Melt. Made her an absolute crit monster, np damage buff for two turns which allows for nicely looping damage, and now a good NP charge letting her top herself up or pretty easily turn 1 NP without even needing supports. Sure they could get more ridiculous with her in terms of boosting her NP. But they've buffed each of her skills and she was already good even without any of that.

BB is in such a weird spot, her skills, numbers and the fact the she's a welfare make her amazing (even self mod fixes the problem of moon cancers as DPSs) as a servant, so against avengers she's just a free win, but if you lose the class advantage (so for other usage outside of fighting avengers) you'll always have so much better choices. The buff is great, but she was already the best anti avenger while being just okay against everything else, and after the buff she's basically the same, so I really don't understand why they buffed her, but the buff is cool so nice.

BB's kit is built to make her strong against challenge quests: stun, buff removal, debuff removal, debuff immunity, heal. Her partywide battery makes her really strong when paired with supports that have the right NPs. BB just has so much going on in her kit that she has more use-cases than you might think, not to mention how many bosses are berserkers where her class doesn't really matter.

BB is way usefull than just a anti avenger, she is cheap compare to other while being good at it, stall come out way frequent these day and in a spam team she is also be use. Like a hans bb hard defense comb is really nice for both crit and np, this just round her up more. Like there is not that much 4* go this well with np spam and stall/utility, bb have only a few job but it kinda rare job.

BB buff is so nice men, that 30% aoe bat is very frequent, it eliminate the need of using on mix card like castoria/tama quick and buster if you have a BB chain, a art chain is still prefer for the team but consider on a art comp she can loop that np alot (too much in some case even with her quick card) the charge income she give is massive, this give BB the option to be more selfish on her card loop but benefit the whole team at the same time. The direction they go on this is great, so fresh.

How would BB fair with her Summer form locking in her arts cards and Tamamo or Castoria as arts support? Would the flat party wide 30% charge let her loop every turn? Like maybe have her loop till the end, and by that time Tamamo could NP and drop the cooldowns so you can set it back up pretty quickly?

I know these Sakura face buffs were Mooncell themed, but I sure wish Kama was included with Parvati too... Other than that, Kingprotea needs a buff to her other skill so that it doesn't just remove her Growth Buffs. Imagine if it was like the Malter version that sacrifices HP for buffs but it was combined with the Low HP based effect of Caster Nero and Passionlip where certain buffs activate when the "self" is low HP. Maybe at lower HP her skill cooldown effect scales with levels and HP or something...

While Sumanai got 30% battery to be another saber buster loop that was not necessary because we have way too many of them, Lip got 20% ... So right now the only AE that can buster loop still be Okitan. Just like Lasagna did(dirty) to Lalter, skills that got upgraded to have battery are divided into 5 cd 20 battery or 6 cd 30 battery with the exception of Artoria and Altera(for now that I can search, beside melt) because they are 5*. It is very sad that Rarity also matter to how much battery one can get, even with same cd. At least if Raikou gets her own, it will surely be 30+.

Siegfried needed a buff on that skill, and it wasn't just a battery but also a self charisma/Siegfried has a nice niche now. Lip getting a flat 20 battery is fine IMO the skill already has many other effects going for it and it's a 5 turn cooldown, not 6 turns.

@@dstreetz91 I have already stated about cd determined how much battery one can get. My point is Lip also has 3rd skill that can be upgraded which has 6 cd. If you compare them on offensive kit only (which is what matter for farming), Sumanai is better, same amount of atk buff but higher battery and buster for both 1st and 3rd wave, you don't need invul pierce in Lip case. Now that they make Sumanai loopable and him being perma 4*, you literally don't need to roll for 5* aoe buster saber (if they don't make another broken unit) for he can spook anytime and you may have him at higher np. But on Lip, it is on another level, she will be first 4* AE than can buster loop, imagine how much Lasagna can make money especially she usually on the same banner as Melt. And don't tell that 4* is easier to obtain for the 7 coin flip suffering. Sumanai buff is great, it gives f2p more option, he may be better than Salter for the perma 4* fact. It is just Lip kit still forgettable, you want tanker with taunt, go Mashu, you want all out aoe buster AE, go Okitan, you want gorilla deck AE, go Mecha Eli. Lip buff is like "We don't want her to be another Okitan, so she will have worse offensive kit.", just like they don't give Raikou battery yet, for she won't be another Godjuna nor Morgan.

I don't see why the 30% battery is seen as anything but a big positive. She was already a monstrous single target servant. Completely arguable that she doesn't need anything. NP charge is a nice thing she didn't have and will make her even more flexible than before. Not hard to make it work for her.

I still don't get how Melt is a Sakura face though 🤔 She is related to a Sakura face but she physically (as in how she looks and acts) isn't one, heck all Sakura faces share the same eye colour except for Melt. Eh but still this is still good.
