Enjoy this review. After going back and forth between the Halekulani I think the Four Seasons takes the top spot for luxury hotels on Oahu. You just can't beat the location and the service was top shelf, everywhere.

i remember this resort before it was part of marriot. you were treated litterally like royalty. granted there were 10 something employees to guests back then and sometimes when i was exploring the resort a random employee would wander my way and offer complementary snacks and coffee. Dining was utterly surreal because me, my sister and parents were the only ones in the restaurant. marriot took over then the resort went to poop. at least i still have the memories of back then.

I remember when it was the Ihilani and then the JW Marriott Ihilani. The spa has always been one of the best on O’ahu. Good memories.

I did another review on the buffet at the Four Season O'ahu so check that out. If you can, the sunsets out here are incredible to time your reservation accordingly. Also plan to walk along the beach here before or after, stunning coastline.

Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.

Hi Steve, great question. When I visited there seemed to be ramps everywhere and the Ko Olina lagoons are probably the easiest to access of any beach area on O'ahu. There is a concrete path along all three lagoons and from what I see they are all in excellent condition. The hotel itself has 6 categories of accessible rooms, more then most resorts. For luxury properties I recommend you use classictravel.com/suitesandlobbies they will get you access to resort credits and other VIP benefits at the same price. They are also Four Seasons preferred partners which means they get direct support and can verify any accessibility questions you may have. Enjoy!

It’s a very nice property, but as far as the Four Seasons brand, it doesn’t compare to other FS properties world wide. Even in Hawaii, FS Big Island, FS Maui, and FS Lanai, all blow the Ko Olina location out of the water. But it’s much cheaper than most FS properties. IMO, they need to scrap Ko Olina, and build a proper FS in Waikiki.

It's tough when one of the best FS in the world, FS Hualalai, is just a 45-minute plane ride away. The Ko Olina property is just too small really. Did you hear that the Turtle Bay Resort is going to be a Ritz Carlton?
