So this is now the 3rd version of opening and I have to say, I like it the best. Taylor is a great stand-up and having this opening monologue lets her continue that work and make it appear more "talk show" than late night "fake game show". She really done great in the evolution of the show and has had some really great moments!

I love this soo much, cause we were promised a talk show, but got a game show. For a lot of people that would have been it but Taylor fought her way up and you can see more and more talk show components emerging in the show. Best part? The game show segment actually makes it feel different from all the other late shows. Here is to continued success!

You were NOT promised a talk show. It was never marketed as a talk show, it was a "late night show" - obviously it was always intended to be an @midnight reboot. Wires got crossed because "late night shows" are associated with talk shows, so that's what everyone else ran with. This narrative that Taylor secretly wanted a talk show but was denied is complete nonsense - she's a comedian, it makes perfect sense that she wanted @midnight to come back and fill that void, since it was a really important show for that industry.
