FOUR Supercars, One Racetrack! Which is King?!

We invited some of the top automotive influencers and journalists - Matt Farah & Zack Klapman from ‪@TheSmokingTire‬ , ‪@EdBolian‬ from ‪@VINwiki‬, Aloisa Ruf, and Aaron Weiss from ‪@theconcoursclub2619‬ - from around the world to Miami for a day at the finest member-only racetrack in the country - The Concours Club - to test a lineup of four supercars that represent the next generation of collector cars. We split our 4 cars into a bracket style format with judging based on the following criteria: 1.⁠ ⁠Excitement 2.⁠ ⁠Usability 3.⁠ ⁠Investability 4.⁠ ⁠Virality
The first round features the two extremes - a 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR vs. a 2019 Ford GT. Fully Analog vs. Fully Digital! The round 2 matchup sees legendary tuner-turned-manufacturer RUF and their 2017 CTR Anniversary vs. one of Maranello’s last raw supercars - the Ferrari 458 Speciale! The winners of each round, as determined by a vote, will face off in the final battle to determine the ultimate Next Gen Collector car! Our driver lineup consists of Aloisa Ruf, Aaron Weiss, Matt Farah, Zack Klapman, Ed Bolian, and John Temerian!

This was awesome man. I will never forget when back in 1990 or so I saw a RUF Porsche in person. At that young age I could not believe my eyes. I was in such awe of that car. I absolutely LOVE what RUF does, builds, creates and designs. Just absolutely pure and unfiltered perrrrrrfection!

RUF has been a dream car for me since I first got my hands on one in Gran Turismo growing up, and for a long time the joke I always tell is "my favorite Porsche isn't even a Porsche." I definitely think it's also probably the most selfish of the respective cars in the video too because with all the talking of collectibility and investment, the RUF has all of that but it has an experience that you both want to and can enjoy every single day. Easily my favorite, and happy to see more of Aloisa since she was fantastic on TST last year. That being said... RUF SCR in Irish Green all day lol.

I love Porsche's more than life but that Lambo made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Ultimately I agree with Zach and John, the RUF is the best balance of all which is essentially what Porsche does better than everyone

I think it’s super great that all can be appreciated for what they are. Porsche has always been one of the best for ticking a lot of boxes. Reliability cost to maintain, usability, manners, comfort etc. Most guys owning the super exotics have already owned numerous Porsche’s over the years.

John that concept FORD has a name. Its Daisy. Was the name of the project... I still remember the day. Special events people ask, do you remember where you were when that happened.... This isnone of those moments for me.. I was so stoked that FORD had Plans for their future. Remebering a time, so many of us missed not growing up in the 60s. I appeared for the first time in the last quarter of 69. As a matter of fact the same day that many Twister Mustangs were produced October 29. The 27-29 were when many were produced. I want onenof those 10/29/69 cars. Preferably 2nd shift of that day. I hopefully have the means when that special day arrives for me. If not id give my soul for it. Im sure many of your subs hold the same feelings for a special car theyve always longed for. Thanks, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! At what you do.

As far as the Speciale vs the Ruf CTR? Ruf all day every day and twice on Sunday. Who would've guessed both the manual cars are WAY more fun than the flappy paddle cars. Don't listen to Ed's opinion regarding Ruf & Porsches, hes jaded 😂

No kidding. It reminds me of the 2019 Corvette ZR1, the greatest Vette of all time, last front engine, last manual, most track capable (1.2g of grip, 755hp etc) and they only made 3,000 of them. And knowing this, 2/3rds of buyers still got the terrible, torque converter auto anyway. So only 950 manuals, (& just 450 were ZTK track spec coupes). Which is why 3 pedal Zr1 coupes are $250-300k ($80-100k more than the autos). And the high-soy, low-iq auto buyers have the nerve to defend their mistake & pretend they didnt diminish the car community. Literally saying that paddle shift autos are the same as manual😅🤦‍♂️🤡

Its a shame, I miss the days where the enthusiast c6 Z06, Zr1 & Camaro Z/28 ONLY came as manual, coupes. (Hell the stripped-out '15 Z/28 even offered an A/C delete, had multimatic spool valve shocks, 305 squared Trofeo R's, Carbon Ceramics, an LS7, no trunk carpet & had 1 speaker required by law). They actually cared about weight savings, driver's cars & enjoyment over speed & comfort. Compared to Vettes now w/ luxurious interiors, all the features, heated/cooled seats, DCT-only, 3,900lb, awd hybrids w/ hardtop convertibles

Awesome video. This is exactly why I’m probably going older rather than newer for the first time. Really looking hard at air cooled 911’s that have been track setup so they give you the classic looks but with modern handling and useable street HP that won’t send you to jail every time you step on the gas!

Just an observation: the transition from you talking while mic’d up to you doing voiceover work is pretty harsh. You can hear how the room you are doing the voicover work in echoes pretty bad. I’d probably recommend some sound deadening for the future. Love the video overall, but that’s the one criticism I have that I think could really improve the quality of the videos in the future.

I am with the Diablo-guys. I have a 6.0 Diablo and it is maybe not as crazy as the Diablo GTR. But you NEVER forget that you are driving something very special ( the way you see out of the car, the mirrors and so on. But also all the noises, beeps, fans and so on). The RUF is probably 10 times the better car, though....

RUF is so beautiful and classy, probably the nicest of them all.Legendary colour, I would like to put it in living room and watch it all day long! Diablo just from the video looks like you need to fight with it but crazy car and also legendary shape. GT i really liike but you need it in heritage colour combination. Ferrari great car, just somehow in this group gives me at least emotion toward it, needs more retro elements and somehow looks as a mass product…

Interesting hearing all of the comments. So many loved the Diablo GTR but it's a track car not a road car so it doesn't really fit with all of the others. You can't use it daily if you want to. A Diablo GT maybe but the track car market is considerably smaller than for a road car
