I haven't been here "since the beggining" because I only learned of you guys about 2 years ago, BUT I believe myself a fan. I love you guys' music, old and new. They way my ear picks it up, it's still Four Year Strong, and it will always be the awesome FYS that got me really into Easycore. I don't know if I am enough of a fan to you guys' standards. What I do know is I consider myself enough of one to call the band by the nickname that only fans should call it. So long live Four Beard Strong!

When bands do awesome shit like this, writing a song that not only dedicates their love for the fans, but holds up a middle finger to the haters, and the 'fans' who just gave up on them, it makes me respect the band so much more for just being 'real'. Four Year Strong just never ceases to amaze me.

Now I was not there since the beginning, but a couple of my friends had me listen to Enemy of the World, and I got hooked right there. I went out and bought the rest of their albums and every single song from The Take Over to Only The Meek Get Pinched, The Bold Survive has blown me away. These guys know what's up and the play their hearts out...they are beyond amazing...

I Wish i knew about you guys from the beginning. but it is a funny story as to how i became a fan. i had just started listening to "good music" over the summer and i was really liking rise against. then i come into school few weeks in and two of my friends were talking about a concert that they were going to. i asked what is was and it was the AP fall tour in boston. so i asked to hear your music...i bought the tickets that very night....love you guys!

FUCK YEAH lol...I love the description, it fits PERFECTLY to what I've been saying to people...my best friend who first introduced me to these guys says he hates their new stuff, and I straight up told him that he's not a real fan then, and doesn't truly appreciate music as an art. I've loved Four Year Strong since their very first demo. Hell, I listened to them in like grade 5 or some shit which is the same time I started snowboarding. To me, they represent a symbiotic relationship between two of my passions: snowboarding and music. Just because I prefer their old stuff to their new material doesn't mean I think they sold out, and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that. I'll always love FYS and all the stuff they release.

FYS isn't saying they expect you to like their new stuff, they're saying they expect fans to not openly insult them when they change their sound a bit. You're allowed to dislike the music, just don't abandon FYS completely like a lot of people were saying they were going to do because of the new sound.

After my preorder downloaded I was almost upset at first. It didn't quite sound like FYS. But then I listened to it again with an open mind, remembering how different Enemy of the World sounded from Rise or Die Trying. Yes, I miss sick breakdowns and beat drops in every song, and I miss Jackson's upbeat yet brutal drumming. But its still FYS. Its still their sound. They've just transformed and matured in their music. I appreciate that they always are experimenting with their sound. LOVE IT!

I personally think that there is a difference between not liking and not hearing the album and start talking crap about the band, saying they sold out and that kinda crap. This song is for that 2nd type of fan. And still, every band changes with time, because their members get older, shit happens in their lives, etc. People should just chill and enjoy the music

@Sinkman They didn't just recently make it because a few fans have not liked the stuff they have released so far, it is in the track listing for the new album, and it was made before all of the other songs were released. They released it because it has relevance. In my mind they sound exactly the same as EOTW and Rise or Die, so if I was in their case, and I had this song that had relevance to the stuff happening, I would release it too.

I really really wish I could say that I was there from the beginning, but I can't. I heard about FYS this year, because I was going to a Rise Against concert, and was interested in "that weird opening act". I got all the albums, and I'm really upset nobody told me about you guys. As for the concert, Rise Against headlined over Bad Religion, and sucked cock in comparison to the opening act. FYS rocked the shit out of the mosh, and BR did what they always do. FYS needs to be huge; Rock on guys.

I just don't think many people gave this album a REAL, UNBIASED listen. Like in comparison to their older stuff everyone probably fell in love with, it might seem sub par. But on its own, without comparing it to anything else, it's actually really great.

I think everyone has to admit that this band has changed, it's down to opinion if it's for the better or worse. One thing that is for sure is that the new sound certainly has a more radio friendly, "safe" sound to it. The older fans are a little pissed at this, they're moving away from the crowd that made them, which is a little dangerous. I can't blame people for not liking the new stuff, it sounds totally different and FYS can't argue against that.

I'm in my late 20's and I've been listening to FYS since they were doing house shows in the Worcester area (yea Massholes you know what I mean) I owned the Demo way back when it came out on CD! I also have their FIRST album "It's our time" which is more soft than Rise or Die Trying. Most of you are KIDS and don't understand why bands do this stuff. Not trying to sound old but just because you have a voice...doesn't mean you know what the hell you're talking about. You're just bandwagon fans.

i've been a FYS fan since i heard The Glory ep in 2003. they replaced Coheed And Cambria as my favorite band in 2007 with Rise Or Die Trying. I was quick to write them off for abandoning the 'easycore' style they invented after hearing the new songs Stuck In The Middle & Falling On You. this track is a lot better but no matter how strongly you feel about your new material there's a difference between expanding your style into something more original and dumbing it down to something more basic.
