Did support for FYS a while back and they are ridiculously impressive. They had just released We All Float Down Here and they'd play it for sound check and it sounded IMMACULATE and then wouldn't play it for the shows. I was like ok, to be fair, sound check does give opportunities to try out new tracks and maybe work them into the setlist, been there done that. But then on the last date I asked Dan why and he goes "because it just wasn't clean enough", meanwhile my band sounded like absolute dogshit comparatively hahaha. Not only another level of talent, but another level of dedication to their craft. Great dudes too. Can't say enough positive things about the fellas.

Bc bands never play their most interesting songs live. It’s part of our painful existence. Same reason they never play catastrophe, this body pays the bills, nineteen with neck tats, or here’s to swimming with bow legged women. We’re just not allowed to have fun :(
