This is one of the most beautiful performances of this song... This freaking song kept me alive when i lost a dear friend to suicide two months ago, If it weren't for this song i'd be dead... I lost my brother, McClain when he was 19... November 26th, 2009. He was the singer of a band we were starting. I tried to talk to Dan when they came to town last time, but didn't catch him after the show... I just wanted to thank him for this song. Every word hits so close to home and the song came out just a few months after his death. It meant more than a song and I never got my chance to really thank him for this.

I know exactly what it's like to lose someone. I lost my dad 3 and a half years ago and my uncle 2 months after. I was only 13, but songs like this help people like me who have experienced a great loss. My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a loved one, but just take it one step at a time, and breathe in and out, because it WILL be ok, as said by the greatest band of all time.

@WesBoom7 when someone you love passes away, you try not to think about it too often to avoid emotional hurt. i know if i had to think about the year someone i love died, it'd make me think about how, why, and how it affected me and i'd cry on the spot. dan is staying strong, something alot of people can't do.
