Has anyone done egr delete and actually remove the whole egr physically out, not putting it back at all. Extra room in the engine bay never hurts.

Whats the best cleaning stuff/liquid/solution do you use to clean all the gunk out?

Scrape out all you can, then oven cleaner. Don't leave it more than as few minutes as it eats the alloy if you leave it too long. Carb cleaner or even degreaser will get there too, but a lot slower.
