My son did the storyboards for the movie with the big mechanical dog in it. It never existed as a working robot but only for scenes. The head, by itself, was operated by a man with mechanical inputs to make it animated. My son got to go and visit the robot dog and the men who made it and was impressed with their work.

bat bot with the arm-neck and an eel tail, and the kangaroo bot or dog bot body and you've got a pretty good frame for a mini robot dragon, and then dressed up at least as artfully as the alzhiemer's puppy bot. If they could scale up the bat bot as a biomimetic low altitude aircraft you'd really be getting into heady territory.

A robot bat would e perfect for nighttime surveillance. Would be great for home surveillance. Even while not in flight. A properly place fan or fans could provide a solution to the issue of getting them to ascend. Push them up where they can glide down. They can be placed at different stations providing a great range of video coverage. I’d love something like that.
