Perfecting a triangle and being fast with the adjustments and believing in your squeeze can be a good option for an attacker that is trying to rape and you cannot get away. Let me know your thoughts, and if you are not familiar with real Jiu jitsu I welcome you to come to my academy in Peoria AZ and I will show you the effectiveness.

I was 6-12, my male teachers would pull me in for "extra help“ during recess and after school had ended. I never told anyone, but it was rlly hard. I tried to tell a teacher once, but she shushed me and sent me back. That’s when I started thinking all adults were the same and I could never trust them. So I was scared of men, for a good period of my life, including my dad. My dad was close to finding out cause If flinch every time he reached for a hug or to just walk by. Once when I was 7 or 8 he came for a hug and kiss after school and I flinched so hard i fell and cried cause I didn’t want him to do what my teachers would do. He then sat down next to me, i will never forget this, and said "i would never hit you, or hurt you, why are you scared of me“- i remember being so shook and lost for words that I just couldn’t reply. The rest of it is kinda a blur and till now still nobody knows what has happened to me. I wish I had told my dad or mum back then, i was just too scared because the teachers would say stuff like "i know where u live“ or "if you say anything Ill go harder next time” This would have been a lot of help.

This would never work for the 90% of woman when a dude is full of adrenaline and literally trying to r word you. Unless you attacked is weak and you are a trained fighter and I mean well well trained you wouldn’t stand a chance and even if trained the chances are low. Carry a knife, pepper spray or bear spray, something that is small and has a button to send your location and alert police or a multiple close family members automatically, or get a concealed carry permit. There are sick men out there as well as sick woman so prepare yourselves and try your best to minimize risky situations. Stay safe and be prepared.

That won't work in reality. It's insane to teach a 120 pound woman to go to the ground with someone who really wants to harm her. Edit: She has wrist control and you were waiting for her legs to close. Even in this calm and trained situation you were waiting. That's not an option for anybody untrained. The ground is nearly never an option in situations like this. My tip: scream, bite and run

Please use your whole strength, my judo teacher also never lets him throw, to show us at a young age, that we can't do sh't against 80 kg people. It's train, train and train again until u are really strong and know how to do the technique without small mistakes. It takes both, technique alone doesn't protect you. That said, of course it is better knowing technique than being clueless, but it only increases your protection by a few percent. It's especially important for girls, it's better to try to run/climb away, than trying techniques which screw you over. My teacher himself always said better run, you never know if there are other people or if your attacker will use a knife.

What I was 9 I was sleeping in my room, my uncle had stayed the night for god knows what but I remember sleeping facing the wall and I heard my door opening, I thought it was my mom checking to see if I was asleep so I instantly resorted to fake sleeping. But it was my fucking 28 year old uncle. I remember squeezing my eyes closed when I felt his rough hand on my thigh thinking it was a monster or something. I remember him laughing and the sound literally irks me, it was so cold, so heartless. He ripped my shorts off and forced himself on me. I distinctly remember the pain that I won’t go into detail for. But I never told anyone because he said it was normal and decent to not tell anyone until I learned what sex was and realized it was non consensual. That I was a victim of his heinous actions. But I still never told anyone beside my male friend who clearly saw it as an opportunity to use me and he did. Moral of the story, if you don’t or they don’t want it, it’s a bad thing to do, if you’re victim please tell someone❤

NO, the best self defense is running away. Escaping, and running away. All the best heroes in movies are great at parkour, and they try to avoid fights first. Fighting, sure, learn it, but focus on avoiding fights please!! Because fighting of any kind = injury in some way. Lawsuits in some way. Exposure in some way. AVOID IT ALL!! Don't go to dangerous areas alone, or at night. Be sensible and accept the reality of this world!!!! If you get any hint that things aren't right, start running! Don't even find yourself in a state that can be grappled by surprise round a dark corner.... We need to have some self awareness about this fucking world we live in!! And stop deluding these women that that would really work against you!!!

Im sorry but i have to disagree, triangle is a great submission but from a stand point where weight is usually going to be a big factor . I wouldn’t recommend falling into closed guard . Anyone who has rolled with heavy weights or wrestled with anyone that has 30Ibs- 50 Ibs on you , usually a weight difference between women and men . Your going to have a hell of a time getting them off or even more so when strikes can be thrown . Maybe I’m thinking super severe circumstance but that’s usually the case with rape .

Imo Judo, would be perfect for a women a self defense, especially in a situation like you described. It’s better for them to be able to free themselves from their opponents grasps (especially if grabbed off guard or behind.) and be able to disable them with not only by throwing them to the ground potentially knocking them out giving them woman a chance to escape, but if worst case scenario they get on the ground she can still finish the fight on the ground as well. (If you go to a complete Judo school they have deadly ground game.) and it also is DEADLY irl situations being able to grab clothes and collars.
