Awesome explanation. I’ve taken up to differential equations but always in the real numbers, but having used the Fourier transform once or twice in a computer and other kinds of transformers like the Hadamard which stays in the real numbers but is related to the Fourier, I can say that learning an introduction to complex integration from you has been easy, thank you!

Wish there we're more vids just like this on fourier transform :)))) this is such a great video
@DanielGonzalez-sw1kf8 жыл бұрын
Also and for being more concrete, you could say that 6/w * sin2w is equal to 12*(sin(2w)/2w), which is equal to 12 sinc(2w), which is the Cardinal Sinus function. I say it because maybe if it's a signal processing exercise you should end your exercise saying this. Btw good video! :)

@talsokolinsky66117 жыл бұрын
I didn't understand the last thing, you said that sin(x) = 1/2j * (e^(j)-e^(-j) but then when you input the value to the formula you haven't add the half, so you got 1/2j instead of 1/4j? Or is it just my misunderstanding?

does any of these apply with fourier transform pairs?
@martyguild3 жыл бұрын
how come the fourier transform is the integral from -infinity to infinity, but you evaluate the integral from -2 to 2? i assume it is because the function is defined as 0 outside of these BOUNDS (they are not limits, but bounds)... therefore the area under these parts of the curve will be 0, but this is not something that should just be hand-waved away. you also drew a theta and called it delta...
@fayssalelansari85845 жыл бұрын
why didn't you add 2pi to the fourier equation? exp(-j2piwt)

True. It's a ω (omega), not a "w", usually used to signify frequency in radians/sec. She also calls theta (θ) "delta".
