There’s a thing called “Scav Karma” you want that number to go up if you want to be around bosses(keep your score at 6.00) you start out at 0.00. Every extract from a map you get .01 points, kills a pmc(main character) as a scav you get .01, and a few other small ways to get points, but if you’re a chad you don’t care about your rep because it doesn’t do anything necessary, just potentially more money! Hope this helped.

Example of max rep or 6.00 is @ 13:00 his buddy doesn’t get shot by the boss or guards, but 407 does

Also besides what OFC said, if you're 6 karma or above you get a bonus purchase tab with the vendor Fence that offers good stuff you can buy for your PMC loadouts. You also get much better scav loadouts the higher your karma is, including frequent keycards to get into the Labs map, tons of injectors, red flares for calling airdrops, better ammo/guns/armor etc. Basically incentivizes you to not be a chode and help out your fellow scavs, which is kinda funny considering that if you were PMCs you'd be trying to smoke each other.

I've been enjoying pve with a couple buddies, and we don't quest without all three of us on. I'm loving your Tarkov content, but I'll probably never return to pvp.

@kazene10 it's not inherently "satisfying", but it's definitely a lot easier to have a good time, and push tasks. I've been really enjoying pve since I bought it. I can try weapons I've never been able to, I can learn maps without the immediate danger of being tapped from 300 meters; it's overall just a better playing experience. The ai for the scavs is overhauled a bit more, and the ai pmcs are literally raiders on steroids, and they are still a huge threat. Even though it technically is easier, it's still really challenging. Ive put another 100 hours on my account since I got pve, and I seriously recommend it if you wanna play Tarkov and you don't want to have to deal with other players camping extracts. The queue time is also much faster, and the game runs a bit better too.

@@gahoolian_gaming3858 Gotcha, thanks for the info. A couple things: 1. Does any sort of progression carry over between PVE and PVP? I’m assuming no but I thought I’d ask. 2. You mentioned queue times. Does that mean it could potentially pair you up with randoms? And is there still friendly fire?

@kazene10 no, progress does not carry over to pvp(Thank God, it would be horrendous to be able to get anything done), and by queue times, I mean the loading times when going into a raid. I don't know if you can find randos to play with, but you can have a full squad of friends if u have them added.
