Fox Bait, doesn't get better than this, in this video, I put together two easily available products, and make the ultimate fox attractant, and IT WORKS A TREAT...

He shot his first squirrel yesterday on the air rifle I’d set up for him, so he’s really keen, and does exactly as asked👍 A pleasure to take out and help spotting

@@predatorprotectionuk my mates son is keen...but can't follow instructions at all...so...it's a future thing for him... Typical one fox, the dark fox, remained elusive ... Well done not letting those foxes get gun shy ... Your comments on the range of the 17hmr..if you will?

The Lithgow .17 hmr is excellent with the 17 grain hornady ammo I use. It’s set at one inch high at 100 yrds so should be fine out to 200 in the right conditions. A good stable platform is necessary though, my truck probably isn’t the best of things with two people sat in the back , both trying to see what’s going on, hence why I went for the bigger target option and not for the head.

@@predatorprotectionuk getting stable is critical....I made a rest that goes from head rest to dash with an extension to support a rear bag that is supported by an independent pole...very stable...video available. But...that doesn't stop wiggly bottoms in the back seat...that simply must wriggle as soon as a " "please stay still while I shoot" request is made..😂

@@predatorprotectionuk alot of foxing happens within 200 yards...but...it's not always wind free.. Having a choice of rifles to suit conditions is nice...for windy..I use 270, with 90gn.., but usually, 17rem, 204, 222.

a nice run of foxes there, farmer must be happy to get rid of that many in one go 👍 got my first one the other night, was too late for mrs farmers chickens but the new ones are safe now.

Hi Simon , there’s a coachload there yet! That ground has not been shot for years , had the weather stayed clear I’d have made a night of it, and had breakfast on order at the farm house. They will just have to wait a week or so, I’ve got a Birthday party to attend 🥴🎂

Good content mate, however I'm v dubious about 17 on charlies... its obviously a personal choice thing but it's .22 CF minimum for me. ATB.

Hello Dean, It’s a case of what you’ve got to hand I suppose chum, the .17hmr is a very destructive round, and does a lot of damage if in the right place , but the .22 LR is great for 70 yard stuff too 👍
