Cindy Sue We always treat the animals that are taken to the hospital. This one was treated for mange for many weeks.

gotcha, curious are you using an ivermectin mange med? you guys are my heros! i am a rescuer in Texas. we have more people who are starting to get involved, BUT we could sure use more. people who donate much needed money...care is expensive, and folks to foster, as well as adopt. GET INVOLVED EVERYONE, please just dont watch the videos and then forget about them 5 minutes later. these little fox need you..........

Such wonderful, sweet, and kind people! Fox poo all over and mange, to boot. Oy. I have a dog door and a couple of my dogs (mischievous females, of course!) have brought in rabbits and squirrels they had caught in my fenced yard. Thank goodness I was home at the time and could deal with the situations immediately. I'll never forget that cold winter morning when my little girl started burying a squirrel in my bed while I was in it, semi asleep. I sure woke up in a hurry once I realized what was going on! Last week, it was finally warm outside, so I opened my windows. I hadn't put screens up yet. A robin flew into my bedroom and then was flying into the glass. It pooed all over. I tried shooing it out, but it kept banging into the glass. I finally just grabbed it, gently, of course, and put it outside. He flew away, none the worse for wear. The walls got an immediate washing down and bedclothes went into the wash. Carpet? Well... Animals bring so much into our lives. They certainly teach us patience and to always have a sense of humor!

david howard : Thank you for your kind words. I'd love to further communicate with you. I don't do FB, which seems to be the best way to communicate. I'm pretty much of an internet illiterate. Have gotten some very good threads going on YT comments with people from all over the US and other countries. I'd sure like to continue to communicate with others. I'm planning on writing a book once I fully retire and move far, far away from the city I've worked in. I did work as a zookeeper at the Milwaukee County Zoo prior to quitting to go into the more job secure field of law enforcement.(Local gov't always complaining about money and threatening to cut jobs, etc.) I MUCH preferred working with animals and have been kicking myself for quitting the zoo, but, oh well. I don't have a crystal ball. I sure as heck learned a lot about everything, including myself, by being a cop. There are urban foxes in Milwaukee, but not in the bad areas of town. The rats are bigger and scare the foxes away!

Fox was so flea ridden it's tail fur was completely gone. Hope they gave her a bath and some frontline, followed by a few weeks of decent meals and a kick up the ass for ruining a bedroom. Good work.
