Nice review mate. I find these kind of vids really helpful - mtb clothing can vary wildly in sizing, so good to get some first hand feedback. Could you fit elbow pads under this jacket?

I have the women's Ranger jacket and think it's a pretty good piece of kit. Sleeve length is also often an issue for me but on this jacket they're plenty long enough. Similarly, I also really like the hood which fits over either of my helmets. It's very light and packable but doesn't feel at all flimsy and, so far, has kept me dry. if you can get one for £50 that would be a bonus....😊

Nice review!! Beside rainy day, how the jaket perform with Wind?
@streetpigeonmtb3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. It is really good in the wind as it is pretty windproof. It is a thin material though, so in very cold conditions I wear it as an outer-protective layer with a warmer jacket underneath 👍
@XqDezzy103 жыл бұрын
@@streetpigeonmtb thx for the reply!! I agree with you in a cold wind day, warmer jersey (like the fox defend hooded thermo) under this jaket. So with this combo i think we don’t need the 250/300 bucks fox jaket

Hi there. That doesn't sound at all ideal. It's not a problem I ran into but I can imagine if I had it would have been frustrating. If it's not working for you then it makes sense to return it. I'd recommend looking at Endura stuff. I'm loving their kit at the moment.

I've got this item todays from leisure Lakes Bikes - however when you're wearing the jacket, the zip is on the right as you look down. I questioned this with LLB and they looked and confirmed it is a mens jacket, and have said this is how Fox do their jackets. Could you confirm if this is correct please? Thanks

Thanks for sharing. Medium for a 6'2 guy!? I'm the same height and wanted to buy XL as I read some comments that the fit is quite tight and it's better to size up. I'm confused as I never ever wear a medium.
@streetpigeonmtb2 жыл бұрын
Hey man. Medium for me at the time. 6ft 2 and 74kg. Hope that info helps 👍
@DistrictMountainBiker4 жыл бұрын
Love mine, only downside I found is the stitching on the pockets (basically the material alongside the zipper) came away within the first couple of weeks. I put this down to the hip pack I use rather than a manufacturing issue, just means they're always open now. Kind of annoying but I haven't stopped using the jacket because everything else about it is great haha! Nice review 👍

Hi love your reviews. Do you think there would be enough room for the fox titan armoured sports jacket and a long sleeve jersey underneath? Cheers
@streetpigeonmtb4 жыл бұрын
I do. The jacket does have a fair bit of room and it is very light and manoeuvrable. Just my thoughts though, I haven't tried that exact combo. I have run in over other jackets and tops though 👍
@KalanHowse3 жыл бұрын
So below average weight, 183cm would be suitable for medium sizing? I'm tossing up between medium and large, except large is out of stock and I would like it in a few days. General clothing/t-shirts is large, pants are around 30-32 for perspective.
@streetpigeonmtb3 жыл бұрын
I'm a 32 inch and went for small. The waist was good so I'm not sure if medium might be too loose for you. Have you looked at the Endura Singletrack? I'm going to put together a review. Spoiler, they are great and the leg lengths are way better for taller, slimmer folks.
@KalanHowse3 жыл бұрын
@@streetpigeonmtb you chose the small jacket? I thought you were wearing a medium... I don’t feel so bad about buying a medium in that case.

Hi! Looks good jacket! Could you weight in a scale? I know its not heavy jacket like 3layers mountain Jckt but usually i do multiday bike trips and its important. Other question after a muddy day, what is the process you do to take care-take off mud-wash the jacket? Thanks a lot

I can relate to your struggle with finding clothes that fit without being too baggy, or too short etc. as im basically the same height, and similar weight. Any recommendations for MTB trousers? All those I've seen have quite short inside leg unless you size up to a massive waist

Hi mate. I'm still on the hunt for trousers that fit. It's a nightmare. I think Endura sizings are half decent but I'd need to try them on to confirm.

How breathable is the jacket , a helfare one I have is like wearing a bin bag so need something light and breathable.

It's as breathable as they get. Unfortunately anything that keeps water out also holds hot air in. It packs small though so I often take it on and off depending on the conditions 👍

Do you need something long sleeve underneath? Or is it fine on the skin?

Hey man. It's not pleasant against bare skin. It feels quite plastic and gets a bit wet with sweat. Get a long sleeve jersey underneath or look for a waterproof that is layered 👍

I bought the Defend 3L water jacket recently. Unfortunately I felt this jacket wasn't worth the price and I returned it for a full refund. I felt this isn't going to last me. It just felt cheap and lacking in particular areas. Cordura on the backside of the jacket..an option to fold away the hood.. a breast pocket at least. They have some great mtb clothing just not this jacket... in my opinion.

Interestingly I've started using Endura stuff. I found that after I'd owned the Fox stuff for a long time it started to fall apart. Wish I'd known that when I'd done the review.
