I just noticed how perfect the lyrics are for a song about a zombie apocalypse. "When the skies turn black, and the floor beneath me starts to crack, there's no coming back, today" as in the zombies came to where he lived, he knows there's no going back to his home after that. "This is something that I have to find, after all this time, we'll be OK." Hes looking for a cure and reassuring someone that after all the time in this hell, they'll be alright. The song makes me think about better times, that could also be him thinking of better times during an apocalypse.
