As a person who came from an abusive marriage, I can tell you that sometimes a person is so afraid that they cannot even protect their children. I have been there and you cannot say what you would do unless you have walked in those shoes. I was fortunate enough that I was able to get out BEFORE my children were physically harmed, but God only knows for sure what other emotional and psychological damage was done before I walked. They are grown adults now and seem to be doing good, but you don't know unless you are that person.

I find it deplorable that anyone could allow their child to be abused. But we CANNOT hold responsible anyone more than the ABUSER. To do so is an EXCUSE for the abuser and waters down their guilt and responsibility. It absolutely sends a message the person who actually committed the crimes somehow isn't as responsible and should have been shielded from the temptation to abuse. Think before you say things like this comment. It matters more than you would imagine.

Same as my mother. My Dad was abusive starting with my mom from what I remember when I was a little girl. Then it progressed with my middle brother- I am the oldest of 3. He was a bed wetter and I remember waking up to chaotic sounds and scenes- my dad beating my brother for it and forcing him to sleep in the bathtub because of it. Body shaming my mother and then me for being a little overweight in my teen years. I made excuses for him and my mother for many years growing up. A few decades living l, realized that they could have done better raising us. My mother always played the victim (being adopted and knowing no one else) and he compared his childhood to ours (which was much better than his). We were never good enough. The abuse that my brothers endured was heartbreaking 💔 to see (especially my middle brother) I tried to stop it but I was just a child and all I could do was cry and beg my “dad” to stop. I remember he abused and even kicked out (I mean that literally) one of our dogs out of the house. In my young adult life, the verbal abuse and shaming continued throughout the members of the family and I couldn’t continue dealing with it. I was too involved in helping “better” relationships within the family that I never paid attention to my own wants & dreams. My anxiety was overwhelming and I never knew why. Being anxious or depressed was always a laughable matter in the household so I couldn’t relate. I cut ties with my mom and dad a few years ago after my mom asked me how I wanted to celebrate Father’s Day one year- considering my father had missed my birthday that year prior to the holiday I was shook 😮and that’s when I knew I’d had enough. My mother was always his enabler and that would never change. She chose to stay even after all the abuse to her children and herself. Plus she was ready to advocate for him in order to celebrate a holiday to feed his ego. Oh by the way , our family dynamic was so dysfunctional that my 2 brothers were never able to build a healthy relationship and we’re always at odds growing up. Perhaps competing for our fathers main approval. Today they still don’t talk. My most abused brother became a Police officer and is the ONLY one that talks to my parents from what I know when I last talked to him a few months ago and haven’t talked to him since. He has a short temper and I’ve lost patience with adults 😂 My youngest brother works at FedEx and I work in special education 🥳 Since being in this field I realized that children are the most precious. They are under our care and we (the adults) have the responsibility to respect, teach and protect them and nurture healthy minds. In my mid 30’s and learning to nurture myself to health day by day. Infinite Love to all that seek peace with one another and respect each other. ❤

As someone who had the Misfortune of knowing this person in real life, I am so glad he's going to prison for life. I was so sad to hear when he got with someone with a child. Why? Because of the way he treated his dogs. He would beat them and say it was punishment for whatever they had done. I knew a few times he would have dogs that "came up missing". Tim also has a younger brother with special needs, so he knows full well how to treat a child with special needs. And his father never treated him this way. We have talked about child abuse before and shared how we were abused growing up. His dad yelled and slapped him a few times- No it is not ok ans it is child abuse- but never did anything that would make Tim think that what he's done to this little boy was normal.

Absolutely NO blame to you whatsoever, just wanted you to know that, I'm just curious because I suspect some family of abuse but I'm not sure if I'm misreading the situation or not.

@@LisaPFrampton He didn't seem fond of his younger brother and sometimes a little jealous but I never saw anything that made me think that he was abusive towards his brother. Verbally at the most because he was just an a-hole sometimes. His brother didn't like him when he would say certain things but no one likes an a-hole. His little brother didn't seem scared of him. He didn't suddenly become quiet, he didn't disappear and go to his bedroom, he didn't fidget, or Flinch, or anything that was outward obvious. They do have an older brother that just isn't around anymore so that does make me suspicious. I met him through a friend who knew him from school when me and my friend were in high school. When he got back from doing his Basics and whatnot from being a cook in the army he he kept the cook profession and cooked in different fast foods and restaurants. Him and one of my middle school friends started dating and she moved in with him. To this day she claims he was never physically abusive to her. But he was highly emotional and verbal abusive. They always stayed in argument about how he treated the animals. Looking on it now it kind of makes sense that he was abusing animals, because you see it in criminal history, they first start out on animals. Other examples of emotionally abusive and him needing to assort his authority is when my friend was exploring different religious paths. She was trying to figure out if she believed in God if she did what God and how would she worship that God. Growing up going to Christian churches she knew a little bit about Christianity. But she wanted to explore different Paths of Christianity and other religions like Judaism. He got mad at her and told her she was only her allowed to have one faith and one religion she had to pick right them when he told her to and that was it. So she picked being agnostic since she wasn't allowed to explore, naturally that made him mad because why would you not pick being a Christian? Because he was a Christian himself, nothing against Christianity, or any other religion on my part. And after she had enough and she tried to leave he kept on using excuse of him committing suicide if she left. Unfortunately that did not happen. When Tim started dating Kristen my friend did tell her about the emotional abuse and how he could be verbally abusing and how he needed to assort his authority on others. For a few years after they broke up my friend and Tim still had to be in each other's lives because Tim refusing to sell some shared property and it took them a while for Tim to sign all the documentation they needed to split from each other. Not a divorce papers but other paperworks. My friend had him over her paycheck that she got from the government for Social Security. And he was holding that over my friend as he was seeing Kristen. I've met Kristen once. It was very briefly at Walmart I just so happened to see Tim and when I saw Kristen from her distance she looked just like my friend. And that creeped me out because I felt like he was just trying to replace my friend. I do not know if that's true or not it was just the feeling I've got to this day. She seemed nice and very proud to be with Tim. They did not have her kids with her. For the longest I didn't even know she had kids. But then again it's not like I kept up with them, I just heard a few things about how Tim was doing through my friend and she wasn't trying to complain about him because she tries to deal with her stuff herself. It was a mostly I talked to Tim and he's doing good. Kristen did harass my friend through IM on Facebook for a while. Nothing too serious like life-threatening. Christian just bitched my friend I'll claiming that my friend was the one making everything difficult. It got to the point where I picked my friend up, since she can't drive, and we just randomly showed up at Tim's house one day and demand him to go to the bank with us so he can sign over his authority of my friends check to me. He tryed to came up with his excuses and cried the whole time but, he finally did it. Like he physically cried, and Tim is not a cryer. He did try to keep things hidden but sometimes he couldn't stop from yelling or smashing his fist on a table. We would try sometimes to get him to talk it out instead of holding it in and then let it boggling up to anger. But it didn't work, he just wouldn't talk to anyone. We tried to be patient with him that day because we could tell he was hurting but at the same time she needed him out of her life. His mother did confirm his rape when he was 18 months unfortunately.

1. A criminal defense lawyer is supposed to defend you. The point of due process and court trials is to honor the assumption of innocence until guilt can be proven. My stepfather practiced criminal defense law for 20 years. There is a big difference between attorneys who practice defense and those who practice prosecution. Long story short, to hate on a defense attorney for defending their client (whether the client could afford an attorney, or whether it was a free public defender is irrelevant) is to belie complete ignorance of how the legal system works and why you shouldn't be so quick to judge. Not trying to be rude, but attacking the public defender for doing her job makes you look like an incredible asshole. Everyone has the right to a public defender. Because we don't assume their guilty. If the public defender didn't defend you, then you could say that was reprehensible. Jesus Christ. 2. It is clear that she had trouble arguing for his defense. You can pick up on the subtle cues, like her stuttering, as evidence to suggest that she neither believed in his innocence nor in the justifications for his actions. Again hating on the public defender is something an ignorant individual does.

@@adamjensen7001 I agree, the defense lady has to do her job. Although I do think it was unorthodox how she said she was speaking as a person, not an attorney. In my opinion it’s an odd thing to say, however if the judge is cool with it, it’s fair game. Nevertheless everyone has a right to a defense, & a defense attorney has to fulfill that right. If I’m not mistaken attorney’s take a sworn oath to protect the constitution.

@@YourDadVR Thank you. I also want to add that what Wilson did was abhorrent and inexcusable. Nevertheless, in my experience speaking with people about their beliefs I have found that there are a surprising number of men whom believe that corporal punishment should not be considered taboo or prohibited, and are often additionally ignorant of the many studies and research papers that detail the detrimental behavioural and psychological impacts that corporal punishment has on developing children. Furthermore, I also must stress and point out that many times the police and prosecution teams have railroaded innocent people into a guilty verdict for crimes that they had not committed. Do I think Wilson was railroaded? Maybe on the sex offender charge, but otherwise not really. Our justice system is imperfect and sometimes I think it exhibits a lacking understanding of human nature and behavior. I could go further into this, but I have more important matters go attend to at this present time.

Omg, I remember watching video on this boy with family at restaurant. Child wasn't allowed to eat or have water, While family ate. Server noticed something odd. I'm so glad I came across this.

People that harm children and animals do not deserve to live amongst us . I don’t understand why that is not a universal mandate amongst all nations. They should all be put down regardless .

For him to blame his childhood abuse just makes me think that he liked being abused to inflict it on to his stepson. People that experienced childhood abuse that grow up n abuses children should be charged as second offenders since they KNOW EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS!!!!!! To me that’s the worst excuse a person can give.

It seemed so easy to abuse a helpless child...and there he is now, serving a life-sentence...the mother is even more guilty.

Want to know the No. 1 indicator of a child being abused? Is it income level or education of the parents? Parental drug or alcohol abuse? None of these. The number one indicator of abuse is a stepparent in the household.

This is the main reason I remarried my wife whom I filed for divorce from. She was going to re-marry some guy who might do who knows what to my kids. Add that he said they would live the max of 25 miles that the divorce had as distance limit. I couldn’t take that risk.

I was abused by my stepmother growing up. I wanted kids. I had 1, but I had a stillbirth. I was so prepared to be the best mom, but the man I was with that would have been his father abused me. So I don't know how it would have been. He'd be 35 already. 🥺😭

"First of all, I want the court to know that I was abused as a child because I want you all to feel sorry for me and take it easy on me.....Oh yeah, sorry I ruined your life." I don't know how any lawyer could defend someone like that.

Just bc he was abused as a child doesn’t give him a pass or even slightly excuse him from repeating what was done to him onto his stepson! Shouldn’t even be allowed in a closing argument! I was also abused as a child (by my mother) like SO many others I’m just another face in that endless sea of ppl. HOWEVER… as an adult I made the choice not to have children, & I made that choice bc I didn’t know in my head or my heart if I could do a better job than my own mother did. Maybe I could have bc I’ve worked w kids & I’ve shown them a lot of love. BUT bc I wasn’t 100% sure I could be a better parent than she was, that was all I needed to know to know I could stop the violence.
