Actually, kids can be incredibly effective liars, particularly when they truly believe the life of their parents and siblings would be in imminent danger should the child's abuse ever be revealed, and as such, my beloved late mother was totally oblivious to the horrific sexual abuse I endured at the hands of my grandfather, HER FATHER, for the best part of 6 years which only came to an end as a direct result of his sudden death.
