In a way, he was the reason many swing states and many areas in blue states turned red. The northern states thought that texas was overxaggerating, when it came to the illegals, so governor Abbott was like, 'you know what, fine. If you think this isn't a problem, then you can have them!' So instead of making Texans pay for the illegals' room and board, he just shipped them off to every single sanctuary city he could think of to show them what was really going on. And the people saw what was really going on. And that's what made many areas go red.

I couldn't watch the inauguration to the end (got to run) and didn't see our governor in the crowd. I thought he didn't come. But I was so happy to see this video later that night. From now on, some weights have been lifted off our governor's shoulders. It's been so hard for him the last 4 years. We got the border closed and got help from pr. Trump and federal.

Abbott handles weather disasters like Eisenhower handled invading France. I went through 40 years of hurricane seasons in Texas. He and his team told us exactly what we needed to do. He and his people pre staged everything they would need to get the state back to business. He allowed temporary changes to regulations to allow out of state help and transport. Allowed the same for school transfers so kids could be admitted in Grandmas school district
