@@anienitsuj In some parts it is and you are right. Which is why they were not hugely supported by Filipino fans when they debuted, including myself. Because it initially felt like it was actually contradicting what OPM stands for. But I must say that their music has evolved and it shows Filipino elements. In their interviews, they were very intentional in making sure that they want to contribute in making OPM known to the rest of the world. They endured the criticisms not only from foreigners but from their countrymen as well. But look at how they persevered. Proving everyone wrong. That's respectable and commendable. I understood now that I can't fault them for liking K-pop or being influenced by it. Even K-pop and K-drama have western influence too. At the end of the day, they represent one country. And that is the Philippines. So why not support them. They earned it.
