Unfortunately, in at least some countries they are coming from, such as Venezuela, the people already depend on the government for free handouts like food, healthcare, etc. And so when they arrive here, and have been told by the cartels that they will also be taken care of here and given these free things without having to earn or work for them once they arrive, then they expect that to be true. Sadly, our own government, both federal and local in many states and cities are showing and proving this to be true as well by giving them priority over our own poor and homeless citizens--many of whom are vets that have fought, sacrificed, and given so much for our country only to be forgotten about and left to live and die, hungry and all alone in our streets around the country. I realize that it's truly our tax dollars (and the national debt also) in the end, but if the federal and state governments had the $ and resources (via policies and programs) to put illegal immigrants up in hotel rooms, apartments, and give them free healthcare too, then what's stopping them from completely fixing and curing the homeless epidemic across our country by putting into place the same rigorous policies, procedures, and resources to help the current homeless population and vets, and then put programs and resources into place to act as a net to help people from falling through the cracks in the first place to where they end up being homeless?

The Veterans receive excellent benefits, I work at the VA. The homeless veterans have issues and need help to access their benefits. They receive close to $4000 a month, and if they need an aid that can double. The poor and middle class are suffering, while the wealthy benefits. The Hispanic immigrants under bid the nanny jobs. Manhattan families were paying over $1000 per week for nanny jobs. The Hispanics are currently taking $400 for same job. Now, tell me who benefits from immigration legal and illegal?
