In the old days My school use to climb to a mountain top pond for hockey games they cut the shape of the rink with hand saws and both teams stood on the edges to dip the ice to resurface it

Geez. You have to be a frozen Minnesotan to even contemplate doing something this unusual and calling it fun. Speaking as one, I would probably go and see what it was like if I lived near there. No one from the "outside" could possibly understand what we go through here in the frozen northland! FYI: windchill is currently -14 here in SE MN!

Crooked lake has some of the best catch and release large mouth bass action in the cities, albeit it is heavily fished. Go to Demontreville east side of the cities for other epic bass action. I'm talking multiple 5 or 6 lbers in one outing.
