Very nice and great content! I plan on the AODe internals because I do not want the gear change. The TV cable explanation is exactly how I set mine (Mopar Torqueflights have the same idea but a linkage)

Nice video! I have the Lentech Terminator kit for my 4r70w in my green car! On/off switch for overdrive, No aod shuffle shifting! Works just a c4 until you need overdrive and just hit the button! ;-)

I got a quote from a local shop at El Paso Texas to install a 2 piece C6 shaft kit and a transgo valve body with a C6 torque converter in my AOD for $2700. My car is 1990 5.0 LX COUPE 100 percent stock. I plan to put a procharger the end of the year and leave the engine 100% percent stock. What are your though on this. Watching all your AOD content is great and very informative. Great job on all your videos!!!

I dont want any electronic B.S. except for the ignition system and the radio. Im building an AOD with 4R70W wide ratio gearset and higher capacity clutch packs. Found the stator support was cracked, off to the U-Pull to pull another (several if necessary) AOD and scavenge a good one, since Transtar and WIT dont have any.

I’m currently building a 4r70w for my 92 Notch. Remember you need a 2wd and it should bolt right up to your 302-351. Of course with other parts

It does but you may need to shorten your driveshaft 3/4 in.. I had to.

When going to an automatic would it make more sense to use a 4r70w and a Usshift controller than upgrading an aod?

I (now I live in massachusetts. But this car is mint >f ur looking for a four eye! It's an 86 convertible. Red paint black top and I believe tan interior. Completely unmolested!!! Only thing aftermarket that u need around here is sub frame conectors 60-70 kbeen garaged whole life

I did not see a transmission dyno in the shop. How does he check his work ?? Like shift points and leaks before the customer gets it ??

Ive never in my life rebuilt a trans and just did my first built AOD along with valve body. I used the full kit ALTO red clutch master rebuild kit from Summit and has all the 4R70W upgrades so had to order the AODE Kevlar overdrive band. Heres a video and its a boosted 302. Has a 3800 stall and 4:10 gears, shifts so fast I feel like it needs 3.55 gears. kzbin.info/www/bejne/enXWln2Lhp6trac

Isn't there a manual/auto valvebody for AODs? My mehh soso "monster transmission" 700r4 according to them had a "manual/auto" valve body and in drive it did have normal auto function but when you manually selected a particular gear it went to it and stayed there, if you say short shifted it it went into the next gear even if it was to soon. Back in the 90s I had a home grown manual VB th350 for a spell and I just hot dogged around thrashing it on the street shifting it up down whatever and one day I put it in 1st and it backed up! Wtf??!? An old car guy told me they don't like to be driven like a manual it's go up through the gears and stop and then start over back up through the gears...? Got me I was young so might be bullshit maybe not...? But it did take a dump....
