Thank you for this. I bought a car that had an aftermarket overlay glued/stuck on to the car's cluster. Couldn't stand it. So I bought a used cluster and matched the odometer using this method. Much appreciated.

great video! a long time ago, I read in one of the forums, that if the spacing in the odometer was wide, it ment there was a rollover. Now i can see that its not true XD

I've read that too, but never really found it to be the case.

Where did you buy the replacement speedometer?
@Mustang5L58 күн бұрын
@@madcyclesllc5887 only available used. I got the Motorsport Speedo off eBay and the other parts out of cars I’ve parted out over the years. Some NOS motorsport speedos show up from time to time. Unfortunately everything has gotten expensive

oh man, the lighting on your instrument cluster looks great! mine is all splotchy and it seems like some of the black has faded off, allowing green light through where it shouldn't. any ideas on how to fix that?
@Mustang5L511 ай бұрын
That's a common issue with these clusters as the glue that holds the gauge face to the plastic frame starts to separate. Really there isn't a fix as i haven't found any method to clean off the old glue and reapply it in a manner that looks decent. Really you are better off getting a new cluster and swapping it over or changing out the bad sections.
