Thanks for the video. People need to educate themselves about shops. Good idea to check with Chamber of Commerce to see if a shop has complaints. Also ask for references from customers and ask around town and at car shows, people who have been burned will be happy to tell you. Thanks again.

I had a trans built at My Transmission Experts in Porter, Tx for my 91 Gt and they dropped my converter, stripped mounting threads for the value body and then wouldn't warranty their own work when it quit shifting. They were highly recommend but now i know ....I have David from PRD build my stuff from now on!! Lesson learned the hard way, and Slater's in Humble, Tx will screw you too!!

@@samuelyoung4646 YES!!!! Ask them about the Colorado they burnt down by pulling on the brake line because it was to close to the header. Hit the brakes and sprayed brake fluid all over the hot exhaust. PRD in Pasadena is way better for LS stuff. Check out their Facebook page.

Been there ,had that done by a Shop in South Fla. Formerly Mustang Specialties Pompano beach fla. Now ".Speciialties Machining " And I have No problem naming the shop because the owner I have known over 25 years ripped me off for a rebuild of over $7000. ,on a 92 coup which was butchered so bad ,had to have another shop in another state correct substandard work done. My trust was lost at that point.smfh.

It's a place in Houston Texas called Slater's I took my fox over there because it was running hot I told them the parts that I had replaced and they put the exact same parts that I had recently replaced and they tried to charge me $450 I told them hell no.

Gents...everybody take a chill pill and a step back. I get why Foxcast can't name the shop. They are going off this guys word and his word alone. Yea, it's probably 100% true but you cant slander a shops name on word alone. What if the shop did the work, the guy took it home, watched a video and made changes that he thought were right, completely hosed it up because he's new to working on cars and brought it in to this shop with that story? I'm doubting it highly, but you never know, so its best to err on the side of caution. If he came out and said the name, bashed them 100% it opens him up for liability and lawsuits that no one wants or needs. I used to be help desk manager and would get calls to fix a system. My first question was always, "What was the last thing you changed or did to the computer?" The answer 99% was "Nothing". To hear them talk, they'd never even touched the computer, just found it this way. It took a 2x4 and a 1 3/4" wrench to pry the info out of them, so yea, it does happen.

I understand why putting the Performance Shop that failed in delivering what the owner of the mustang requested on blast exposing them, because they could come back and say the person that put them on blast slandered their shop and now they're out of business and could possibly initiate a lawsuit. I wouldn't name the Performance Shop, but I would say the city and state they were based in. Once this credible Performance Shop repairs all the other shops screwups , the fox body owner should use the receipt to file a lawsuit against the first shop that charged him for a screwed up incompetent job!!!!

I got screwed for $6,800 1/2 the money ( only $30 hr ) owed and got a 70 mach1 mustang back to gather !! a rusty hulk to a new car By 2 of us in 90 days!!! running painted interior and glass !!!! all new parts $9000 in car.need door panels $1200 ea . The man that owns it got screwed the last shop took the (m) motor and trans and rear end and put in a 85 running gear !!!!!

I know the feeling..I paid a body shop 5k to paint my fox Oxford white stock color..I was told it by the owner we'll make it look brand new with base coat clear coat paint n pull the glass out of my hatch to fix sum rust ok I thought it was in good hands but when I got it back omg!!! I was shocked it was terrible dirt all in the paint so I asked what kind of paint they used it was single stage urethane enamel I was so pissed!! The glass wasn't pulled out just a overall shitty job now my fox is ruined!! 😭😭😭 I didn't pay him and I'll drop names the shop was trippinwet automotive design. The owners name is James trip Demars if you value your car never go there!. Oh his shop is in Hastings Florida. One more thing he uses his buddy's real shop photos and clams he painted them which is a lie. Now I don't know what to do??😕😕 love your channel keep on keeping it real and honest 👍✌🇺🇸🇺🇸

But people will run out and spend thousands on a car that has been modified with go-fast parts (not realizing that the person who is selling the car....is doing so because they beat the snot out of it and last week a noise happened. The best thing to do is research. With all the forums & KZbin videos one should be able to do plenty of research to learn & make a plan before ever putting a penny into the build. Also if you have another person building it you should at least stop by regularly to check out the car & discuss everything being done with the mechanic.
