Hello person on the interweb. I come from the future to tell you that the game has changed greatly and that it would be great to do this again. Good video though.

This game is by far one of the best around. Especially if you narrow it down to Steam Games. This review was very accurate to playing and your feelings on this game. The only bad thing is it does rely on others, which you'll get trolls (usually Chinese). Playing Quartermaster and having a logistics team, you'll have players blow stuff up, if you shoot them to stop them you'll be banned yourself... This needs SERIOUS Fixing!

We've had this issue with our clan-mates as QM, and what we've discovered is if you are REALLY patient, and speak slowly and calmly, the vast majority of people will not harass your QM. If your QM is doing well, the team will just vote kick anyone else who is interfering. But, this takes a really good QM appreciated by the team, and some communication skills to get done.
@vchad307 жыл бұрын
Yeah anytime I QM, if someone trolls I just write it in chat and almost the whole server vote kicks lol. Nice to feel trusted :p Another fix, should be the Commend System and how people trade and abuse it. It makes it less rewarding for hard working people when others have a far superior rank who don't deserve it. Not that big of a deal I suppose but something to consider. I suggested to the Dev that Ranks ATM dont have a purpose, however theres also a problem where new players (recruits) or privates can reprimand even officers. This isn't right and it should be required to be "One Rank Higher" to "Reprimand". This will also add to ranks and gameplay as you should be listening to your superiors as they could be repercussions.

I'm not sure what the game is really about. When i play, i'm not sure what's going on, but i enjoy it. I enjoy to find a squad and do whatever the captain says.

A thing i dont like but i have to recognise is that you really cant get far alone. A single man cant change a war. This is why i feel like that game help me working on my leadership and teamplay

this game looks really interesting but ive got a question What happens when you leave a war in progress? Can you rejoin it or is your slot filled up?

And yet. 9 times out of 10 colonals win because the maps have slight inbalances based upon where resouces and towns are situated. Watching the Dev blogs, the Dev's have made conscious decisions upon map inbalances, which although is realistic, doesnt make for a pleasurable experience for a game. The problem comes with the wardens and colonials starting position every game, and doesnt flip these advantages/disadvantages between teams. It makes for a stressful experience if you're warden, as your always on the backfoot and its always incredibly difficult even with a co'operative team to turn the tide. Id love to see the win/loss ratio upon all the wars played because it will be an overwhelming win ratio too the colonials. I like a challenge, but certainly not a walk over. I also feel the game is lacking english only speaking servers, or those bound by nationality. sure there are servers based by location, but most if not all servers, you end up with have a language barrier which ultimately results in bad teams. I also stress (literally) that if you're a passionate competitive player. you may find this game overly frustrating and somewhat a ragefest. Like with most multiplayer games. players usually dont have a clue how the game works, or how strategy is applied. Often it can seem like your trying to lead a crowd of headless chickens. even explaining tactics and trying to be productive can result in people reprimanding you for simply having a suggestion or trying to keep people moving in the right direction. It can be a very toxic experience, especially if your amongst random players. I think if you're thinking about playing foxhole. the only way is joining a clan and gettign to know a bunch of players on discord, where you can co'operate and perform as a team should. you also have issues where both teams are at a stalemate with 50/50 control over the map. yet once theres a breach along the frontline. the team on the receiving end of the breach all of a sudden begins to quit, and the battles quickly turn into the other team favour. Players have an easy way out by switching servers, and often ruins the gameexperience, especially having played for many hours only for you to become heavily outnumbered on the server teamsheet. you can also play a server for many hours, but what becomes apparent is that foxhole dies out during certain timezones, and small squads can literally walk into enemy territory withotu resistance, and win a war before people wake up the next day. It can make your gaming experience a very underwhelming one especially if you worked your butt off for many hours, to login the following day to find out your about to lose or worse the server has refreshed over a loss. theres no doubt this game is very good and different to anything brought to us before. however i feel that the youtuber like most fail to point out alot of issues which have huge impacts on the game that only comes with gametime and understanding the bigger picture. You may have noticed this youtuber plays as colonials or uses colonial footage, which are heavily 1 sided, and win all the time. Its easy to judge by the use of good and bad teamwork, when maps do keep colonials in favour, and giving them strategic advantages. Overall. i do agree its a great game and its worth a buy. however the judgement purely lays with the dev's and whether the above factors get changed to make it a more pleasurable but fairer experience.

A lot of your issues are addressed in a post I made on reddit yesterday: www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/6wauzl/region_based_servers_broke_foxhole/ Your issue with dealing with other players is and is not something we've had a problem with. Lemme explain ;) Players are idiots. 90% of them just run in and die, wasting shirts and resources. Typically, I VERY CALMLY try to get some people to follow me, and perform a flanking or breach maneuver. Enroute, I'll explain some simple things, like how much ammo to carry or going prone in combat. The ones that listen, I friend on steam or invite to my discord - these are the guys and girls you can work with. Over the last month I have added 140 players to my discord all who play at different days and times (usually about 10-15 are on any given time), and we work together well. Each of us makes it a point to try to teach one or two other players while we play how to be smart about playing this game and we like to think we are successful at it. The lesson here is COMMUNICATION and LEADERSHIP skills. This game relies on it 100%. If you have trouble getting people to listen to the things you are telling them, then you are doing it wrong. True skill in this aspect relies on you being able to be calm, level headed, and clear in your communication. I see way too many people just shouting, screaming, cursing, and raging over people doing stupid stuff. Nobody ever listens to the loudest guy in the room in games like this - and I personally always just mute them.

presuming im doing it wrong is rather a linear take on that perspective. you can only have a valid point if you're there with me ingame. I dont want this comment chain to be about who is doing what right from wrong. I used to lead thousands of players into War, in Eve-online. I know my own trade upon leadership and foxhole is nothing in comparison. i used to deal with double the population cap of foxholes servers minimum everyday when i used to FC. Im also in a smaller clan in which i lead, and its fine. but there are times where you're dealing with randoms alot and their just a nightmare. especially when you're doign everything and their just either wasting resources or doing everything wrong. most see a road and run down it. when i go go off road and flank. alot of it is common sense, and its no surprising that health and safety and risk assessments in real life is a thing. because most havent got a clue. I remember 1 server i spent a good few hours trying to get everyone to go between a wall section that skips so many defenses and gains access to their HQ with minimum effort. So theres me trying to organize people to go that way instead of a defense heavy route, i get votekicked for no reason at all. i got banned for an hour, all because 1 person manipulated the team to votekick me with a bunch of lies. so i decided to go to bed, came online to see the server the following morning and given we had everything except enemy HQ the night before. i logged on to see that we lost most of the map and about to lose. what happened was that no-one listenned and spent all the shirts getting killed by enemy defenses and that was that. So the moral of the story was that i was trying to win the game for everyone, got kicked for it and we lost. Now im not aggressive, curse or scream type of person. i never did anything wrong in that particular game except attempt to organize people and take them through a simple gap in the wall. and i got votekicked for it. so unfortunately, although the game has its minor issues. the real issue is the playerbase and how toxic people are. It often ruins alot of the game experience and does reflect heavily upon the gaming culture we live in as a whole. foxhole will only succeed provided most of the servers are populated with clans, and if people dont like clans and working as a team isnt their thing. they shouldnt be playing foxhole. its a game that requires team work, but unfortunately what your audience needs to understand is that a good 80% dont. and that for me when it comes down to it should be a defining line upon whether the game is worth buying or not. Games such as foxhole rely so heavily on people that it becoems a definign factor, over how good a game is.

The game is really good, but i think it need a Fast-map in case if you want to play like 1-2 hours and someone still win or lose.

I purchased the game, 20 euros from Steam. Been playing the game for a week now and I must say I disagree with the review's final verdict. Yes the game shows promise and it's fun to play, sometimes. But it's in Alpha, the amount of bugs and imbalances is staggering to the point I am regretting the purchase. My suggestion would be to wait for the game's official release, hopefully most of these bugs and imbalances will be fixed by then.

The game is awful. Although I admit you cracked me up with the real life infantry tactics work as you advance alone to fire a grenade without a support by fire as your fire team is bunched up in the road. But hey. They work
