Just want to add.....Before you use the landing net to lift the carp out of the water it is advisable to pull off a little of your main line and put into the net before you roll the net up. If u dont the line starts to tighten up between the top of the net and the hook end and can pull the hook from the carps mouth. Cheers for a long needed video

Thats all fine an well with the carp. I look forward to a similar video for Pike care as its the traditional time to fish for them and as you said, many are new to the sport. Pike however, as im sure you are aware suffer from bad handling more than most species. As aggressive in there nature, this does not reflect on there outcome once on the bank. In short, a video of minimal and affordable unhooking equipment would be good in my opinion...not the £££ spent on carp cradles, just offer a basic but decent unhooking mat and tools that the new/average angler can not just afford but will be willing to buy.

Very good point. The poor Pike are by far and away the easiest fish to come to harm and as a consequence, i rarely even fish for them nowadays.

Hi guys big fan im 13 and just brought a walled mat and sling and going to buy the propolis and a aquos watwr bucket got some scales as well but just wondering i cannot afford the ccmore bait as i dont have lots of money is there any bsit you can recomend thats cheap in 5kg in price of £30 to £40 thst would be excellent if not its okay keep it up guys stay safe JoFish

@@jofish1967 not sure mate. Just do some research or try some carp forums. If not and you want cheap bait. Don't forget the sweetcorn, luncheon meat, bread and maggots. Maggots especially this time of year
