In this video Ian 'Chilly' Chillcott jumps onto the ferry at Portsmouth and sets sail for the Isle of Wight. Arriving at Combley lakes, Chilly decides to take a different approach to the norm and sets up on the bank that anglers normally cast to, but don't fish from. At 62yrs old chilly still has the same enthusiasm and dedication as a youngster does. Every time he sets off to go fishing he is like a kid going fishing for the first time. Yes fishing has been good to him over the years, but he has been good for carp fishing more than he will ever know and long may it continue.

Why glug up the hookbait & rig with smart liquid on the first cast out but if you miscast don't do it again on the recast?? Surely it's washed off. Plus I'd have to check the hookpoint on every cast especially after hitting the lake bed & reeling in.
