My co-workers and I couldn't stop laughing at the guy who took a leak while stuck on that ride. Our manager told us that it's not funny and told us to go do something else even though she was kinda giggling as she said that. Afterall, it was funny.

i still don't understand why this took hours, thats so unacceptable they could've brought the cables out way sooner and at least brought them to a comfortable position siting upright while they figured it out instead of leaving them up there horizontally for hours

Usually the controls will let you manually lower the ride in case of an emergency stop. Why they chose this other method (that was also thought about by the manufacturer. you can't magically make ground anchors appear in solid concrete and make specialized winches) Maybe they tried the first option a couple of times but it did not work. It is however a valid way of bringing the ride back down... they probably also had to fight the breaks that are always on when the ride is off.

No, because amusement parks have a "at your own risk" policy.

@@Jeroen_a Not really if it's the park's negligence in keeping their riders safety they can still sue
@Jeroen_a11 сағат бұрын
@@mcr3105 Yes, but was it negligence or just bad luck.... Things do break sometimes, like a car or a coffee machine... With the added risk of the ride stopping because it was programmed to do so in case a sensor breaks for example. If the ride does not know where it has stopped by looking at it's sensors.... it would not be wise to bring it down with the controls and a manual evac would probably be more controllable. Remember they did not evac this way just because they could but because they had to (the reason is unclear). In normal circumstances the ride can be lowered with the controls and although still slow it's doable. Also you are dealing with people on the ride that you don't want to hurt in any way... So slow and steady (and safely) is the way forward.
