The laws are one sided. The other countries don't even have any documentation of any one being oppressed. The people just get up and go to the border and just left the country, but not even the country knows who actually left, because they never told anyone. Next, if when they are to be deported back to the country as criminals, the country won't accept them, because they aren't going to accept a criminal that they don't even know if the criminal is from their country. Seeking asylum in the USA, is only one element of the problem. The lack of any documentation and/or vetting with the other countries, is the other element. They're crossing oceans to get to Latin American "countries" and then Mexico. The only difference between asylum seeking and running from some place, is they get to make up their own reason for seeking asylum. They can say (hypothetically) they are oppressed by the Mexican border patrol and Mexico would have to let them go to America, to show that they aren't oppressing any of them, but Mexico doesn't have to let them back in Mexico, because Mexico doesn't really know who they are and never really oppressed them
