Well, back in the day, anxiety meant "having bad nerves". Autism Spectrum D/O was considered " being weird" or "being slow". ADHD meant "you're bad and don't listen". And clinical level depression was dismissed as " laziness". My point is these mental health issues have existed for some time , however, today we are now having more open conversations about the topic.

If a child expresses their emotions to a parent that parent needs to listen and take it serious. Stop comparing your problems to other people problems. Transparency is important to a healthy upbringing.

THANK YOU and that's what Will and Jada learned! they used to dismiss or ignore their childrens feelings because they were so young, but it's like, if your kid is communicating with you, LISTEN TO THEM! As a kid my issues were treated as behavioral issues and I had to suppress all of my feelings or else I'd be sent to the crazy house. that's legit what was said to me by my family and by my damn school. That only lead to my illness getting worse. I suffered with anxiety and depression as a kid and everybody thought I was just acting out, no I was suffering but nobody wanted to listen to me! As an adult I finally decided to seek help because I just couldn't handle the pain anymore. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression, and as I talk with my therapist about things I recognize that so many of my feelings and decisions have been based in anxiety which stems from my childhood. This generation is doing the work to not be emotionally damaged and to pass that crap onto their children, that's what Funky and Claudia don't realize. They themselves are damaged so they believe others should be too... NO.

Claudia had a good point about no coping skills for the younger generation. I think it starts with the parents. A friend of mine was a counselor in a Junior/High school. He said the PARENTS were the main culprits in not wanting/allowing their kids to experience any adversity. He said they would call the school over and over again, hounding counselors to put their kids in specific classes at specific times with specific teachers. He said dealing with the parents was a nightmare, and the young kids were not developing any life skills to handle when everything doesn't go their way.

Re. Willow and her anxiety...mental health is NOT always situational. You don't have to "been thru nothing" to have anxiety or be depressed. You do NOT have to experience trauma to have a mental illness. You could be BORN with a chemical imbalance or just "win" in genetics bingo game😒

She went 2 months after weight loss surgery which was too soon. She should've waited. May she rest in peace. I got the sleeve in 2017 then had a BBL, Lipo 360 and TT July 2021 in the DR. My surgeon is board certified. I had loose skin. I did it for me!

I did liquids only 2wks b4 and after surgery. My surgeon had did 10,000 surgeries b4 mine. I was in the hospital for a day. I worked out and had been taking vitamins b4 my surgery. I got it cuz I was pre diabetic and had high cholesterol. Since then I haven't had anything, it went away so when I got my bbl and tt I was in good health and 53.

Why do people think wealth means not going through anything? They're the most messed up. This conversation is why I can't with certain people. Having actually listened to what they were sharing at the table, Willow had legit reasons to have anxiety. Will had issues he wasn't aware of as a parent. Jada is clearly a narcissist. Add in the family issues of both parents, no normalcy due to celebrity, God knows what they were exposed to, and the public constantly referring to you as "Will and Jada's weird a$$ed kids" and you're bound to have issues. If anxiety is all she had to deal with, she's blessed. You don't have to live a long time to go through things when you're surrounded by people who have baggage and unaddressed mental issues.
