Watching this again in 2019. I got MAD love for Chris Broussard! This man, Lavar Ball, pouted and tantrumed his two younger son's out of every respectable league. Sure, they can play in the G league or over seas but I don't think the middle kid will EVER play in the NBA. Lavar is also making it harder for his youngest son. He did a great job providing for them and guiding them along the way, but his antics and ego crippled his boys chances at a healthy NBA career.

@poetryinmotion70256 жыл бұрын
Darius Clark 'I know people with that' Then those people referenced should enlist to play in the NBA considering the joint record held in the league was set by Michael Jordan and David Griffith, recorded at 48 inches. To put that into perspective, Lebron James has never matched that, nor have high flyers like Dr J or Vince Carter who barely scrape 40 inches. To digress and address your argument relating to proving Lavar can't, it would be like saying 'I know a friend who can run the 100m below 9.64 seconds'. Rationally, you'd argue otherwise but my retort would be 'Can you prove that he didn't'. Nah but common extrapolation would prove otherwise.
@upfulsoul8266 жыл бұрын
PoetryInMotion Some street ballers can jump higher than NBA players and do better dunks.
@poetryinmotion70256 жыл бұрын
Upful Soul Except that's not the debate. The operative point being disputed isn't a matter of them being an NBA player or a professional athlete, it's the 48 inch vertical which in the professional ranks, even players like Clyde Drexler and Dom Wilkins haven't registered. 'Some street ballers can jump higher than NBA players' Well yeah of course, depending on the sample of players. For example could a random street baller jump have a higher vertical lift off than Isaiah Thomas? Of course. But we're talking about a 48 inch vertical and specific players, something which elite athletes, who have built their physiology beyond the point of standard everyday people, can't reach. Also 'some street ballers', give me a sample that's at least comparable to the amount of NBA players to have been registered and then your argument would hold some weight. In other words, upwards of 5,000 people. But if you wanna believe that Lavar Ball had a 48 inch vertical, go for it lol
@upfulsoul8266 жыл бұрын
PoetryInMotion It was obviously, hyperbole "stat head" but he was obviously a good player to make college. "But we're talking about a 48 inch vertical and specific players, something which elite athletes, who have built their physiology beyond the point of standard everyday people, can't reach." --> Street ballers train too and can practice their jumping. Having hops is a natural gift. Some kids are so athletic that they can dunk at 13.
