Im shocked they didnt use a walled house shot for this. Its weird to see dry mid and oiled outside for this type of event.

It wasn't dry mid, the outside oil is thin and acts like ice. You can't go right of 6 at the breakpoint. Lindsey is the only one that straightened out her angle and still couldn't really make the pocket if she got it right of 5 but got her best ball reaction when she hit 8. Throwing it inside with rev rate you needed to be about 8 or 9 but no more than 10 because the heavier oil will slow the ball down and over hook which is why so many people went through the face or brooklyn from keeping the ball inside (What you think is dry). The pattern did play a bit tight but that just makes it more difficult on the ones that know what they are doing and the whole event is to let the nascar people compete and have a good time.

Not bad for the first time! Watching the pre-show interviews with Packy & The House Bowling crew, definitely gave me better insight into what happened behind the scenes. Hopefully, they do a better job with the lanes next year. AJ is hilarious and totally made it more fun to watch. Good exposure for the PBA!

These rev rates can’t be accurate, right? Some of the shots look like they are tearing turns and the rpm comes back 179.

They are indeed accurate. Those bowlers are coming over the top of the ball with a lot of axis tilt (well north of 90 degrees). While it may LOOK like they're rotating it a lot, they aren't because by the time the ball actually makes full rotations, it's already at the pins. Thus, the sub 200 RPMs. If they're axis tilt was just cut in half (over 90 degrees to about 75 degrees or so), then yes they'd be in the mid 300s or so. It's why Weber, even though he looks like he's ripping the cover off it, only gets to 350 RPMs tops. Cuz his axis tilt is about 75 degrees. It's also why someone like EJ can get 500+ RPMs. Cuz his axis tilt is MAYBE 20 degrees.

Totally agree. some of AJ's early shots were reading around 130 - which was about the same as Chase's shots which barely rotated 5 times before hitting the pins.... no way those readings were accurate.
