@@VladPrisăcaru-t8i I often use wide angle lenses, but it depends on what pictures you take. For me, a lens like a 24-70mm or a 17-55 mm with a fixed aperture of f2.8 would cover 90% of the picture and videos that I do. But those fixed aperture lens usually are more expensive.

I have an R6 Mk2, and an 80D, but I'll admit My R50 is my work horse! So small and easy to carry around. And I dont have to worry about wrecking or losing my more expensive cameras yet still getting that cinematic look I love so much! R50 is a great little Camera!

7:51 alternatively just turn your ISO or exposure time down, i built a lens with a 128mm aperture with no blades, its full boar full time but it just doesn't matter because the camera can compensate. Thats what i do anyway.

It is sad that prime lenses are noisy and zoom lenses are dead silent while recording. Got 24mm 1.8 IS and that made a lot of noise while in video mode. I sent to Canon to check is the lens ok. 50mm 1.8 focus motor says zooo zooo while it moves too. But kit lens and rf 50-210mm is stm are dead silent while video mode.

Just got an R50. Your videos are awesome. Why is it that my cannon has less quality modes. 25fps and 50fps, ranging from 4k to FHD isb standard and light for each. 6 modes. Then in the highspeed mode it only goes to 100fps. Not overly fused still great but confusing when I'm following along. Been making videos on an old canon 200d. Time to stop syncing audio and get a camera with a mic jack, loving it so far.

Congrats on the purchase! It sounds like you’re in PAL mode rather than NTSC. Try going to the “wrench” page in the menu and go to page 2 of that menu. There should be an option called “video system” go ahead and switch that to NTSC.

very helpful video. But how come when choosing resolution, max Framerate in 4K is 25P? And with with FDH there is 50P. And the high Framerate Option gives "only" 100P but without sound..

Hi, I have a question. I've seen many videos in wich their canon r50 records in 120 fps by turning on the high rate opcion while mine can only get up to 100 fps. I neither can record at 30 fps, I only have the option to record at 25 fps on 4k and 25/50 fps on full HD. I dont know why this happens. Thanks for your time.

I would recommend the RF 16mm f2.8 for that, or if you have the budget for it I’d check out the RF 24mm f1.8 to get even more of a blurry background :)

In case you didn't resolve the issue, there are two different frame rate standards depending on your location. Go to video recording settings and switch from PAL to NTSC, that should give you the option to record in 30/60fps.

nothing beats camera footage, the sensor is way bigger than the tiny sensors on the phone and there is more customizability on what video you can achieve because you can change the lens for different focal lengths and aperture and etc but it all depends on personal preference since surely the mobile phone will be more portable and easy to use and maybe even less expensive considering you have to get a camera and stuff like lens and etc along with it but cameras are always preferred for the best quality videos
