I’m watching from Australia…it appears you have had very few fires in the past years hence the build up of groundcover….my big question is why have you now got many separate ‘spontaneous’ fires starting up now? The only time a spontaneous fire begins here is dry lightening from pending storms carrying no rain. …..or arsonists. I’m so sorry this is happening to you…we are next I believe. God bless you

The other consequence of these terrible winds and fires is our power company has shut off electricity to so many people in fear of starting other fires. I have friends who have been without power for almost 2 weeks. It’s like we are 3rd world ….
