When i had first heard this song featuring ed it was a time in my life where i had just dropped out of school, i didn’t wanna study and no one would give me a job. It was so lonely and isolating. It was such a rough patch but finding this song was a form of healing. It reminded me that times are tough for now but it will get better, it reminded me i had plenty to live for even if i felt like there wasn’t. Hearing it redone adding Keith and Elton to track made it so special. I have many guiding lights in my life and this song helps me remember that.

Today is the second anniversary of my dad passing out. I came across this song just last week and today it helped me reconnect with my dad on a level I haven't felt since the year he died. The song literally guided* me to the memory of my dad and how much it felt like home sitting next to him in our little apartment. The interconnectivity of our experience as humans is truly beautiful.
